Pearl Yachts Celebrates Double Success in Lockdown

By George Bains

British yacht builder Pearl Yachts emerges from the lockdown period with two successful superyacht sales on the books. A third Pearl 95 and fourth Pearl 62 have been commissioned by European owners, both to be delivered by the end of the year.

To achieve such success in the market during a tumultuous period shows the strength of the Pearl Yachts brand. Hull #3 of the 29m Pearl 95 superyacht was sold by Mallorca-based Baxter Marine, the yard’s exclusive dealer for Spain and becomes the second of the model to be sold by Baxter in the last nine months. The Pearl 62 model has seen a remarkable response from the market since launching in January 2020. The fourth and latest model was sold by Berthon France, the exclusive Dealer for Pearl Yachts based in Mandelieu-La-Napoule.

Both Pearl 95 and Pearl 62 are the product of the shipyard’s flourishing collaboration with Dixon Yacht Design and Kelly Hoppen. It must also be noted that the appeal of these models stretches across a wide range in category, with a difference in length of 11m between Pearl 62 and flagship Pearl 95. The new Pearl 95 model boasts a spacious five-cabin layout with luxurious contemporary styling penned by Kelly Hoppen and a curvaceous exterior profile by Dixon Yacht Design.

Pearl 95 has already won international acclaim for both her layout and interior design, unsurprising given the opulent open guest spaces throughout. A large foredeck lounge provides an inviting area for social entertainment, while an expansive flybridge comes complete with Jacuzzi and a retractable sunroof for days well spend basking in the sun. A hydraulically operated bathing platform can also transform the tender garage into a welcoming beach club to bring guests closer to the sea.

Cenk Efe, Managing Director of Baxter Marine, commented on the sale of the latest Pearl 95 and a successful partnership with Pearl Yachts: “Pearl produces some of the most exclusive luxury yachts in the world, and we are very proud to represent them in Spain and the Balearics. The sale of this new build Pearl 95 is the result of a lengthy negotiation process, and we are extremely proud to announce the completion of the sale, particularly in light of the current global situation. This sale shows that people are still looking to the future and the spirit of yachting is certainly alive and well.”

Pearl 95 will be available for luxury charters in 2021 from Puerto Portals in Mallorca, Spain. With such magnificent onboard spaces and innovative design features, she is sure to be as much of a success on the charter market as she has been in brokerage.
