Port Denia Announces Expansion of Shipyard Facilities

By George Bains

Port Denia Superyacht Marina & Shipyard marked the 33rd MYBA Charter Show with the exciting announcement of an expansion of its shipyard facility in Alicante, Spain.

The expansion plan includes the installation of a brand-new dry dock, which will be able to haul out superyachts with the use of a new 620 tonne Travel Lift. With a load capacity of 620 tonnes, the Travel Lift will comfortably be able to manoeuvre superyachts of 40-50 metres in length, with ASCOM/EQUIPORT selected by Port Denia to supply the advanced Boat Hoist.

The expansion will enhance the current facilities at Port Denia, which currently encompass two 80-metre slipways capable of lifting yachts up to 1250 GT, catering to the 65-metre range. The new dry dock and Travel Lift will increase the capacity of Port Denia to service superyacht of 40-50 metres LOA. In-water refit services are also available for superyachts of up to 135-metres from within the superyacht marina.

The announcement has kicked off the MYBA Charter Show in exciting fashion for Port Denia, with the new Travel Lift expected to be delivered and operational by July 2023.
