Port Montenegro and Gulf Craft Offer Complimentary Berthing For New Owners

By Heather Collier

In an unprecedented, first of its kind partnership, Porto Montenegro and Gulf Craft have officially joined forces to offer complimentary home port berthing for brand new owners who choose to base their Gulf Craft superyachts in Porto Montenegro.

Annual or seasonal berthing is now being offered by Porto Montenegro free of charge to buyers of new Gulf Craft yachts purchased between 2022 and 2023. Owners will also be delighted to hear that they will receive a 40% discount for the same services if they purchased a Gulf Craft yacht in 2021.

“For brands that are recognised as world leaders in their sectors, this partnership is an absolutely natural outcome of our years of friendship and great mutual respect,” says Tony Browne, Porto Montenegro Marina Director.

“We are thrilled to offer complimentary home port berthing to Gulf Craft owners and look forward to welcoming them into our marina community.”

Those who agree to accept this special offer will also receive Silver Membership at the marina for two people, meaning all members will have exclusive access to the yacht club and unlimited use of their pool area, the sailing squadron and sports club, along with reciprocal membership privileges and first-class benefits that can be used in more than 15 other yacht clubs around the world.

“Porto Montenegro is a very special place, with the magnificent natural beauty of its surroundings, outstanding quality of the marina and warmth of its people” says Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft.

“I cannot think of a better place as home-port for our yacht owners and we are honoured to form this partnership with Porto Montenegro.”

With such a rich history, Porto Montenegro is globally renowned as a yachting paradise. Home to a luxury residential village located right on the waterfront, this impressive 450-berth marina remains a world-class international retail and dining scene, bringing together international brands that encompass everything from fashion and wellness to exemplary yachting services and amenities.

15 years ago, Montenegro was perhaps not viewed in this same light. Now times have changed and the market has expanded, it has since been dubbed as a "hidden gem", or, the "jewel" of the Adriatic — a shining beacon residing in the stunning Boka Bay. Having a capacity that can cater to some of the largest, most advanced yachts in the world has encouraged many owners, charter guests and yacht enthusiasts to broaden their ocean ventures, making this marina a prominent cruising ground. With a mild climate and relatively uncrowded scene during high season, the marina remains the ideal location for cruising and sea trials, with easy access to all major cruising grounds within the Eastern Mediterranean.

Having a partnership with a leading shipyard such as Gulf Craft only further demonstrates Port Montenegro’s commitment to fulfilling the superyacht market’s needs; offering to go above and beyond for those either beginning or well underway in their exploration of superyachts. With a global team of professionals, Gulf Craft is led by a passionate leadership that pushes boundaries and consistently raises the bar in design and performance — and this strategy is no different.

Home port offers an entire calendar year of berthing from the date your slot is secured, commencing from April 2022. Whether you're an owner, captain, or crew member, it is clear that all corners of the superyacht industry can reap the benefits of the full home port solution.
