Project Y729 Begins Outfitting at Oceanco’s Alblasserdam Facilities
Oceanco has announced an exciting new milestone in the construction of its 80-metre superyacht, PROJECT Y729, as the vessel makes its journey from the builder’s Zwijndrecht construction facilities to Alblasserdam for outfitting.
With exterior design by Espen Øino International, interior design by Zuretti Design, and technical representation by Arrow Monaco, Y729 combines an impressive creative lineup with Oceanco’s renowned engineering expertise. Once delivered, she will host up to 14 guests served by a crew of 28.
Notably, Y729 marks the debut of Oceanco’s Simply Custom platform, a new approach that allows owners to craft an entirely bespoke yacht on a pre-engineered technical foundation.'With Y729, we were able to utilize the readily available Simply Custom technical backbone to kickstart the project,' says Oceanco Project Director Erwin de Looff. 'This, combined with the owners’ deep understanding of what it takes to keep a complex project moving, has seen the build progress at a very fast pace.'
For the owners, Y729 represents their first commissioned yacht after years of chartering; a deeply personal project designed for family time at sea. 'There’s great chemistry between ourselves, the designers, our representatives and the shipyard, so whenever we come together it naturally turns into a celebration,' they share.
As PROJECT Y729 continues through outfitting at Oceanco’s Alblasserdam facilities, she stands as both a technical achievement and a symbol of the shipyard’s evolving custom yacht philosophy; where efficiency, artistry, and individuality converge.
