Recapping a Record Year for Custom Line

By George Bains

Italian yacht builder Custom Line enjoyed a fruitful 2020 and overcame the obvious challenges to launch 15 yachts over the course of the year. During the last stretch of the year, Custom Line also reported a significant rise in its order books, with 200 metres of yachts sold in three months.

The growing appeal of Custom Line yachts to owners across the globe was demonstrated most notably in the seven yachts that were sold in the period from September to November, which built on the five orders taken during the summer.

Custom Line, a Ferretti Group brand, is a hallmark of quality ‘Made in Italy’ yachts. The shipyard takes pride in its ability to build innovative yachts that set industry standards for their style, functional design, space and attention to detail. The yachts are known for providing comfort and safety at sea, while giving owners the opportunity to customise to their individual preferences. Continual research is conducted to ensure that owners and their families can make the most of their time at sea with an on-board lifestyle characterised by total privacy.

The Italian shipyard has consolidated its position in the 30 to 42-metre range, excelling in terms of comfort, technology and design. Among the 15 launches in 2020 was the highly anticipated Navetta 30, a sublime yacht which is fruit of a collaboration with architect Filippo Salvetti on the exteriors and studio Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel for the interiors.

The dedicated Custom Line team keep the client thoroughly involves through all stages of production, launch and delivery, making buying your Custom Line yacht a truly bespoke experience. The seven new yachts are to be built at Ferretti Group’s Superyacht Yard in Ancona, where the Custom Line shipyard is located.
