RIVA Launches SAIRU: Their Largest Yacht Yet
RIVA, the iconic Italian yacht builder and part of the Ferretti Group, has launched their largest superyacht to date, the 54-metre SAIRU, from their Ancona facilities. As the first unit in the Riva 54METRI line, SAIRU marks a step into new territory for the brand, renowned for their elegant and inventive designs.
Crafted entirely from aluminium and maintaining a gross tonnage under 500GT for design consistency, SAIRU is the result of a close collaboration between Officina Italiana Design and the Ferretti Group.
Blending RIVA’s classic DNA with a fresh, sculptural profile, SAIRU features signature design elements such as counter-curved windows, cut-out bulwarks, and a sophisticated palette of greys and blacks. The yacht spans four expansive decks, with an amidships lift connecting lower, main and upper levels, and accommodation for up to 10 guests and 11 crew.
Onboard, guests are treated to luxurious interiors showcasing a refined mix of Sahara Noir and Bianco Rhino marble, natural teak, and leather finishes. Outdoor living takes centre stage, with standout features including fold-out terraces, a five-metre pool at the stern, and bow sunpads cleverly concealing technical equipment.
Designed with both guest privacy and onboard comfort in mind, SAIRU boasts advanced soundproofing, electric stabilisers, and cutting-edge navigation technology, including Starlink connectivity and an expansive helm station.
Described by Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi as ‘a new wonder of the sea,’ SAIRU pays homage to Carlo Riva’s original megayacht vision while pushing the boundaries of contemporary superyacht design. With SAIRU, RIVA extends their legacy into the realm of larger superyachts, combining technical ambition with unmistakable Italian style.
"SAIRU is a new wonder of the sea."
