Riva Launches Second Hull from Flagship 130’ BELLISSIMA Series

Italian shipyard and esteemed brand of Ferretti Group, Riva, has launched the second superyacht from its 130’ Bellissima series. At 40m in length, the motor yacht has become the second-largest flybridge in the range, following the first which was launched in July last year.

Hitting the water from Riva’s new La Spezia shipyard, the second 40m hull from the yard’s flagship 130’ Bellissima model is nothing short of ‘very beautiful’ as her name translates.

Built for a European owner, the vessel has once again been constructed with exceptional craftsmanship, adorned in a forward-looking design, and fitted with the very best advanced marine technology. According to the yard, she is the ‘perfect blend of power and elegance’: and we can certainly see why.

Featuring exterior and interior design by Officina Italiana Design Co-Founders, Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, the second 130’ Bellissima is yet another icon from the cherished longstanding relationship between the yard and the design studio, which has seen 27 years of partnership. The Product Strategy Committee, led by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, also collaborated with Officina Italiana Design to bring the vision to life.

Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi commented: ‘The name Bellissima perfectly expresses the spirit of this boat, a true work of art that has been a huge success on all four continents. With her sporty but at the same time extremely elegant lines, Riva 130’ Bellissima is the dream yacht of every owner in search of outstanding cruising performance combined with the feeling of being at home.’

In a similar fashion to her predecessor, the second hull features an exquisite combination of carbon fibre, steel and glass on her exterior, characterised by two standout black lines to create a sleek and sporty appearance on her silvery appearance.

Across three spacious decks, the second 130’ Bellissima offers several spaces both inside and out for relaxing and entertaining. Designed to offer effortlessly close contact with the water, a low and open stern area is divided into an expansive beach club and a 60sqm cockpit. A lounge, an alfresco dining space for 10, and a relaxation area complete the ultimate onboard package of intimate and inviting exterior living areas.

Inside, the star of the show is the large lounge on the main deck that boasts ceilings over 2m high and incredible panoramic views; all thanks to large glazed windows which stretch the length of the main and upper decks. A contemporary interior design is adorned with steel, polished wood and leather: the quintessential balance of tradition and forward-thinking design. A spacious master suite is situated on the main deck, with four guest suites on the lower deck, offering luxury accommodation for 10 onboard.

‘Riva 130’ Bellissima is designed to be superlative and on entering the water becomes even more beautiful, powerful and poetic, like the boats that have written the brand’s history,’ added the CEO. ‘The success this model is reporting is a credit to Riva's commitment to always designing boats that navigate both in legend and in the future.’

Riva’s 130’ Bellissima has an overall length of over 40m, with a beam of 8m and gross tonnage of under 300. She has a top speed of 22.5 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots.
