Sale of Eighth Amels 242 Confirmed

Damen Yachting has confirmed the sale of a 74m Limited Editions Amels 242 yacht.

The eighth hull from the range will be delivered in Spring 2024.

Imperial, who have already collaborated twelve times with the shipyard, represented the owner in the sale and will also supervise construction throughout the build process.

Its director, Julia Stewart, expressed delight to be working alongside Amels.

“After being partners for over a decade, and thirteen projects later, this current construction epitomises the high standards which Amels are proud to represent under the construction supervision of Imperial.”

She continued, “Further, by acting as the Owner’s Representative and Project Manager for this new construction, Imperial works diligently to ensure that this project is delivered seamlessly, and in accordance with Imperial’s continued drive for ground-breaking projects and sustainable excellence in the yacht industry.”

The Amels 242 has been sold to a repeat Amels client who will be able to be involved in her customisation process.

She features a modification to the stern incorporates an integrated hydraulic swim stairs and has been customised with a flatter design, alongside the expertise of interior designers Winch Design.

Tim Heywood design has been appointed to take charge of the exterior design, and have opted for a blue hull and white superstructure completed with a grey mast.
