Italian yard Sanlorenzo has announced the launch of the SD132: the new flagship of its Yacht Business Unit. This 40.7m vessel is characterised by space and innovative configurations, offering those onboard impressive volumes for extended time on the water.

Continuing the legacy of previous models in the SD line, the SD132 stands out within Sanlorenzo’s fleet as the largest composite-built yacht crafted by the brand, alongside being the largest in the historic semi-displacement line, with a length of 40.7m.

‘We are thrilled with the launch of the SD132 project, which embodies the perfect combination of significant size, innovative design, and timeless elegance, in true Sanlorenzo style. The exceptional market response has been confirmed by the five contracts already signed before the launch, demonstrating the great success and appreciation this yacht is receiving among owners,’ commented Tommaso Vincenzi, President of Sanlorenzo’s Yacht Business Unit.

Zuccon International Project oversaw her exterior design, which attributes a sense of balance to this asymmetry concept, of which Sanlorenzo is a trailblazer in the industry.

Bernardo Zuccon of Zuccon International Project commented: ‘The interiors reflect the stylistic journey undertaken by the Studio, aimed at enhancing a sense of naturalness and establishing a sensory connection between the owner and the yacht… The exteriors also demonstrate a commitment to research: innovative layout solutions and technological flexibility seamlessly integrate the yacht with the surrounding nature, emphasizing the livability of the spaces.’

A key feature of the SD132 is its innovative use of space; with a gross tonnage of 420 she combines large dimensions with impressive volumes. Up to 10 guests can be accommodated across five spacious cabins, including a lavish 55 sqm Owner’s suite.

The beach area is the greatest example of innovative configurations onboard. It is seamlessly connected to the aft cockpit, and boasts lateral terraces that open up to offer guests walkable surfaces of 70 sqm, enhancing a connection to the surroundings.

It is not just her beach club which boasts significant space; the fly deck spans an impressive area of 85 sqm. Combined with the stunning mini pool paired with a sunbathing system in the forward living area, guests are offered an abundance of space to relax and make the most of al fresco living.

A tender of up to 6.25m, usually found on larger vessels, is able to be accommodated in a side garage, increasing access to remote coves and harbours. An additional hangar compliments this, housing toys or a rescue boat.

The SD132 is not only spectacular in design, but in functionality: her extended range capabilities allow her to reach even the most remote destinations, with a range of 3,200 miles. Combined with a plethora of remarkable spaces, this vessel takes her place as Sanlorenzo’s new flagship yacht, offering comfort, luxury and optimised performance.
