SERENITY Unveiled: Vripack Reveals the Interior of Alia Yachts’ 60m Marvel

By Sophia Spanton

Vripack Yacht Design has pulled back the curtain on the interior of SERENITY, a newly completed 60-metre superyacht built by Alia Yachts and envisioned as a multigenerational home at sea. Balancing grandeur and intimacy in equal measure, SERENITY’s design is a masterclass in contrast; both opulent and understated, contemporary yet timeless, every space flows naturally across her four decks with compositional harmony.

The owner’s brief called for a sanctuary where family could gather in privacy and style, and Vripack responded with a richly textured composition of marble, leather, teak and rosewood. 'SERENITY is one of our most dazzling interiors yet,' says Bart Bouwhuis, Co-Creative Director at Vripack. 'She was conceived as a place where craftsmanship, innovation and emotion merge into a cohesive experience.'

The main saloon sets the tone: Calacatta marble floors bordered in mystic brown lead past leather-wrapped rosewood cabinetry and mirrored walls, while panoramic windows etched with Arabic patterns diffuse the light like soft lace. The guest corridor is described as a mille-feuille of craft, layered in leather, marble and glossed rosewood, creating a glow that draws the eye forward to the owner’s suite.

Upstairs, her family sky lounge and cinema bring intimacy to luxury. Embossed leather ceilings recall Middle Eastern patterns, slanted panels highlight bottle-green velvet sofas, and an undulating teak floor offers a note of barefoot relaxation. Even the cabinet handles are decorative jewels, inlaid with marble, stone and leather.

Throughout, light defines her character. By day, sunlight floods through full-height glazing; by night, custom lighting softens the mood with a chandelier over the dining table and a ceiling of twinkling LEDs in the sky lounge.

'SERENITY needed to express both personal history and technical mastery,' says Francesco Pitea, CEO of SF Yachts. 'The result is a family-centred design where craftsmanship meets comfort.' Aykut Berhan, Interior Manager at Alia Yachts, adds: 'Her mix of wood, marble, leather and steel creates a space that feels both formal and familiar.'

For her owner, the yacht is the realisation of a long-held dream. 'I dreamed of a place where I can be together with my family in comfort, seclusion and style,' he shares. 'SERENITY, with her free-flowing design and light-filled interior, promises to be that place, our home on the water.'
