The 79.5m Silver Edge is set to be Hull #7 of Silver Yachts, with 85m Hull #6 currently in construction at the shipyard in Western Australia. Following the eye-catching design of 85m Bold, launched in 2019, Silver Edge signals a return to the shipyard’s sleek designs of the past.
An all-aluminium design, benefitting the yacht in terms of performance and drawing upon Western Australia’s speciality in the lightweight material, Silver Edge has a gross tonnage of 1030GT and a beam of 10m.
There will be 8 luxurious cabins to accommodate up to 18 guests on board, with a huge volume of enticing guest spaces to enhance the experience at sea. The accommodation will comprise of one 95-square-metre Owner Suite with custom ensuites, 3 VIP Cabins of 65-square-metres, and 4 further Guest Cabins of 60-square-metres, all with ensuite facilities.
These spaces include a beach club which opens up onto the aft swim deck with a movable swim platform. The aft main deck features a swimming pool, lounge, bar, and winter garden to offer an array of entertainment areas to indulge in. The sun deck also hosts another large entertaining area, complete with a jacuzzi, lounge and dining areas.
A large tender can be stowed on the aft deck for long crossings utilising a concealed crane. The forward tender garage featured integrated gull wing shell doors and gantry cranes for storing smaller tenders, jet skis, and other water toys.
Interested parties will have the opportunity to inspect Silver Edge closer when she is presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, where Silver Yachts will be based at JS4 on Quai Rainier III.
“Silver Yachts will be at the Monaco Yacht Show 2021 and welcomes you on our new stand where we will be showcasing Silver Edge, Silver World Explorer & SpaceCat,” comments Mark Sanderson, Silver Yachts Marketing and Design Manager. “It’s a great opportunity to see the quality of our builds in person, with M/Y Bold present on Quai Rainier III at D03."
