From the 30th of November to the 3rd of December 2023, the Hong Kong International Boat Show returns for its first edition post-Covid. After a short hiatus, the show is expected to be bigger and better than ever, with over 40 yachts attending from all over the globe.

Launched in 1982, the Hong Kong International Boat Show (HKIBS) has been a popular yachting event for boat dealers and enthusiasts, with the 2023 edition set to welcome 40 yachts representing both European and International boatbuilders. It is a four day programme, hosted at Club Marina Cove, which will see yachts, water sports equipment, boating accessories and a car show on display.

This luxury lifestyle event has served as a platform for buyers and dealers to interact for the past three decades, enhancing the yachting presence in the region as well as celebrating some of the most prominent Asian shipyards, for instance: Simpson Marine.

Simpson Marine is Asia’s leading yacht sales, brokerage and service company, set to present seven yachts from its fleet at this year’s HKIBS. They are set to display ‘a varied selection that will inspire your dreams of Yachting Freedom’, showing the ways in which Simpson Marine is working to showcase not only the quality of its shipyard, but also contributing to bolstering the superyacht market within Asia: inspiring attendees with its impressive and diverse fleet.

Sanlorenzo’s SX88 is one member of Simpson Marine’s fleet set to attend the event. She is a 27m crossover motor yacht that saw several units sold prior to her premiere, boasting stunning interiors by the renowned designer Piero Lissoni, showcasing Italian design at its finest. Designed with the younger generation in mind, the SX88 offers a spacious design for its size, meaning that she is a remarkably social yacht that offers a new way to live life on board.

The diversity of the shipyard’s fleet can be seen in the attendance of FIRST 36: an 11.9m high-performance sailing yacht. She is the first mainstream racer where comfort doesn’t affect the experience of high-performance sailing, showing how luxury is not compromised despite her impressive performance capabilities.

Alongside these two very different yachts, Simpson Marine’s fleet includes Fairline’s 15.5m Squadron 50, Beneteau’s 14.8m Gran Turismo 45 and 12.6m Gran Turismo 41, Lagoon’s 10.9m LG400 sailing catamaran, and Aquila’s 9.4m Aquila 28 MOLOKAI. Spannning luxury motor yachts, high-performance sailing yachts, and catamarans, the shipyard’s diversity and significant place within the Asian market can be seen.

One of the last major yachting events of the calendar year, the Hong Kong International Boat Show is set to conclude 2023 in a remarkably exciting way as Simpson Marine’s impressive line-up sets the precedent for what is anticipated to be a highly celebrated event.
