Superleggera 80: Oceanco Reveals New Simply Custom Design
As Oceanco’s Simply Custom designs continue to be released to the eagerly awaiting superyacht industry, the latest design to steal the spotlight is Hot Lab’s Superleggera 80. A creation that balances timeless elegance with contemporary lines, this model has captured the industry’s attention as yet another spectacular addition to the range.
Italian design studio Hot Lab is renowned for taking an architectural approach to design solutions, in particular when it comes to the importance of creating balanced proportions throughout a superyacht. This approach has been translated into Oceanco's latest Simply Custom design, the Superleggera 80, which features the careful balancing of spaces throughout.
The Superleggera 80 boasts sexy and elegant lines reminiscent of a vintage 1960s car, whilst extraordinary volumes onboard lend themselves to feelings of an expansive luxury penthouse. A series of stunning elements characterise the onboard experience, with the use of glass, natural light and space seamlessly blending the interior and exterior of the yacht.
Hot Lab has recognised the value placed on space that goes deeper than simply serving a practical function, resulting in specific and highly unique design features of the Superleggera 80.

Launched at FLIBS 2023, Simply Custom is a brand new collection from Oceanco that is set to evolve custom yacht building in the 80-metre market. The series uniquely offers a technical foundation that world-renowned superyacht designers can canvas upon to create a custom yacht tailored to the exact desires of an owner. The Dutch shipyard has partnered with 16 design studios for this collection, alongside five interior design studios, for each one to create an entirely unique 80m concept.
Hot Lab's Superleggera 80 is the fourth Simply Custom design to be revealed, following Bozca Limitless Design's Aurai, Espen Øino's Clarity, and H2 Yacht Design's Storm.
