Superyacht Australia Soiree Returns to Sydney in 2023

By George Bains

The annual Superyacht Australia Soirée will return to the picturesque Jones Bay Wharf Marina in Sydney on Saturday March 11, 2023, for its fourth edition.

Superyacht Australia, the peak body for the Australian superyacht industry, first held the Soirée in 2020 to celebrate the country’ thriving superyacht industry on the back of major new charter legislation.

While supporting locally based superyachts and the charter fleet, the Soirée aims to support, develop and facilitate growth across all areas of the Australian superyacht industry.

Returning as Major Partner to the event, Benetti Yachts has renewed its support for a key event that recognises the promising growth trajectory of the Australian superyacht industry – which is currently estimated to contribute $3.01 Billion AUD to the country’s economy annually.

Peter Mahony, General Manager APAC of Benetti Yachts, commented that “apart from being one of the most attractive choices for superyacht enthusiasts all around the globe, Benetti Yachts shares the same objectives as Superyacht Australia: bringing new owners into the yacht industry and growing the current owners’ and future owners’ excitement about the new launches are the two primary goals for both Benetti Yachts and the events.

“The luxury Italian megayacht builder, Benetti Yachts, and Superyacht Australia’s prestigious Soirée event provide luxury owners with the best platform to experience high-class hospitality, intangible owner engagement opportunities, and freedom to explore the superior options in the industry.”

As always, an impressive display of yachts will be available for viewing at Jones Bay Marina, courtesy of the events Broker Partners which include Australian Superyachts, The Yacht Life, and d’Albora / Azimut, and Chapman Yachting.

“The 2023 Superyacht Australia Soirée has once again attracted strong interest and support from key stakeholders, reflecting the confidence in the sector which has seen phenomenal growth in the last two years despite the challenges of Covid-19,” said David Good, Superyacht Australia CEO.

“The Soirée provides the perfect opportunity to view some of the finest vessels in the Australian fleet and reinforces yacht charter as the best way to experience amazing parts of Australia in true comfort, safety and luxury.”

The event is expected to welcome over 400 invitation-only guests to enjoy a unique ‘Yacht Hop’ and a six-star hospitality experience. There will be plenty of other luxury items showcased at Jones Bay Wharf, from luxury cars to fine wines and water toys.
