Superyacht New Zealand Launches

By George Bains

Exploring New Zealand by superyacht has never been easier as the Kiwi industry pulls together to provide an all-encompassing guide for Captains.

Launched at the Superyacht Cup Palma, Superyacht New Zealand is a centralised information hub offering insight and guidance for those planning a New Zealand journey from anywhere in the world.

The new body brings together New Zealand’s highly-regarded superyacht industry and superyacht-friendly legislation under one umbrella, making it easier than ever to plan cruising and charts in one of the world’s great natural playgrounds.

Designed for Captains, management, and owners, all information on cruising destinations and seasons, as well as services, is streamlined into one place. Superyacht New Zealand will be found at all major international superyacht shows, online at superyachtnewzealand.co.nz, and via a hard copy book.

The South Pacific is drawing a lot of attention from superyachts as an exciting alternative destination to the well-traversed ‘milk-run’, further encouraged by the alignment of charter and cruising legislation in the region. The opportunity for new experiences and itineraries brimming with adventure is enticing for everyone from Owners and guests through the Captains and crews.

“We chose to launch at the Superyacht Cup Palma due to our longstanding friendship with the regatta,” says NZ Marine’s Stacey Cook. “We’ve been working together as a destination partner for many years, collaborating with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and we plan for this to continue.

“As two superyacht hubs on the opposite sides of the world, we both deliver great hospitality and exceptional experiences with unique flavours of our countries.”

The South Pacific presents an awe-inspiring and all-year-round cruising destinations for superyacht. From the vibrant islands of Tahiti and Fiji, down to New Zealand and Australia, each destination offers its own style of adventure and luxury to discover. New Zealand, with its staggering natural splendour and yacht refit hub, will be made even more accessible with the establishment of Superyacht New Zealand.
