Superyacht Partners Sells ESCAPADE in Under Five Months
Founding Partner Will Bishop, alongside Matt Albert of Superyacht Partners, has successfully and swiftly brokered the sale of Escapade, a 37.5-metre luxury sailing yacht built by New Zealand’s revered Fitzroy Yachts, marking another triumph in the firm’s high-performance sailing portfolio.
Delivered in 2014 with elegant lines by Dubois Naval Architects and interiors by Design Unlimited, ESCAPADE is crafted for both performance and refinement. The yacht features a fixed keel, a 50m carbon mast and advanced rigging by Hall Spars, making her ideally suited for long-range cruising with a lean, efficient crew setup. Her sale adds to a growing momentum in the 40–50m performance sailing sector, where pedigree build, proven cruising range, and turnkey condition remain major draws for experienced buyers.
The 2024 works weren’t merely cosmetic, they reflect a rigorous upkeep culture under a meticulous original owner, ensuring class compliance and optimal resale condition; including a full Lloyd’s 10-year survey, rig service and a striking metallic champagne repaint, leaving her in turnkey condition. She accommodates ten guests across four cabins and boasts a range of approximately 3,900 nautical miles, powered by a single Caterpillar engine with a cruise speed of nine knots.
Bishop says: 'ESCAPADE isn’t just a sailboat - it’s the embodiment of refined performance underpinned by meticulous care by an incredibly experienced and committed owner. From her high‑performance rigging to the 2024 survey and refit, she presented a compelling proposal to the right buyer.'
The five-month turnaround reflects a highly strategic campaign by Superyacht Partners, who leveraged deep network insight and a clear valuation narrative to secure a smooth and discreet deal. This is testament to Superyacht Partners’ 'family office' philosophy which is rooted in client-first integrity, confidentiality, and tailored expertise.
