Superyacht SOLEMATES Has Officially Been Delivered To Repeat Client
Heesen Yachts has announced the delivery of SOLEMATES, a fully customised 55-metre steel superyacht, handed over on April 30, 2025. The project marks a return to Heesen for the experienced owner, who previously commissioned a yacht from the Dutch yard, underscoring a strong relationship built on trust, engineering excellence, and tailored design.
Built on Heesen’s proven 55-metre Steel platform and featuring the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen Naval Architects with exterior styling by Omega Architects, SOLEMATES offers the advantages of a tried-and-tested foundation, paired with a high level of personalisation. The owner capitalised on Heesen’s speculative build programme, selecting a yacht already under construction to reduce delivery time without compromising on customisation.
Developed in close collaboration with Luca Dini Design and Architecture and Heesen’s in-house team, SOLEMATES is a testament to bespoke craftsmanship. Key design highlights include a luminous, gold-flake-embedded staircase, an enlarged sundeck jacuzzi tailored for social gatherings, and an interior defined by vibrant, contemporary colour schemes. A dramatic central atrium serves as the yacht’s visual centrepiece, contributing to her distinctive character.
With a gross tonnage of 760 GT and an efficient steel hull, Solemates is optimised for long-range cruising in comfort. Her North Sea sea trials confirmed exceptional performance and reliability, hallmarks of Northern European yachtbuilding.
‘The success of this project underscores the enduring appeal of our yachts and the deep trust clients place in our ability to deliver complex, high-quality projects that blend Dutch craftsmanship with bespoke luxury,’ said Heesen CEO Niels Vaessen. ‘We are confident SOLEMATES will provide countless memorable experiences for her owner and future charter guests.’
SOLEMATES is now available for select charters through Luxury Yacht Group, offering guests the opportunity to experience her refined design and spacious layout firsthand. She will make her official public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2025, where she is expected to draw considerable attention.
