Superyacht Spotlight: ACQUA CHIARA Is Designed to Welcome

By Nora Hart

Delivered in 2025, the 47-metre ACQUA CHIARA arrives with a clear point of view: this is a yacht conceived first and foremost for charter, where design serves sociability, comfort and immediate ease on board. Styled by Hot Lab for Columbus Yachts, she brings a fresh expression to the Atlantique line, one that feels intentionally built for shared experiences at sea.

From the outset, ACQUA CHIARA was imagined as a yacht that naturally brings people together. Her exterior lines may be sleek and sailing-inspired, but it is the flow of life on board that truly defines her. Open dining areas, generous lounges and approachable deck zones are arranged to encourage movement and interaction, ensuring guests remain connected whether they are sunbathing, dining, or drifting between interior and exterior spaces.

That sense of openness is most evident aft. Organised across three cascading levels, the stern links dining, lounge and sea access in one continuous sequence, maintaining a strong relationship with the water throughout the day. A flexible platform just above the waterline, complete with transformer, makes swimming and watersports an effortless part of daily life, an essential ingredient for a successful charter yacht.

Inside, the mood is intentionally welcoming rather than showy. Warm materials, soft tones and clean lines create an atmosphere that feels elegant yet relaxed, luxurious without ever being intimidating. Large windows flood the main saloon with natural light, while carefully considered sightlines and circulation ensure guests feel part of a shared experience wherever they choose to settle.

Accommodation for up to ten guests across five staterooms easily supports both privacy and unity. The main-deck owner’s suite functions as a private apartment, while the lower-deck guest cabins echo the same design ethos in a calmer, more relaxed register, ideal for unwinding after long days on the water.

As Antonio Romano, commercial and marketing director of the Viken Group and co-founder of Hot Lab, explained, ‘ACQUA CHIARA was conceived with the charter experience very much in mind, so her appeal lies in how naturally she brings people together. The layout encourages fluid movement between indoor and outdoor spaces, with generous lounges, open dining areas, and convivial deck zones that invite guests to share moments rather than retreat into separate corners.’

Ultimately, ACQUA CHIARA feels less like a traditional superyacht and more like a floating home at sea, one where social life unfolds effortlessly. For charter guests seeking a yacht that balances openness with comfort, she represents a modern, inviting vision of life at sea.
