By Frances Flannagan

From the 4th to the 9th of December 2023, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show is set to return for its 62nd Anniversary. Playing host to some of the world’s most luxurious charter vessels, we take a look at the five largest yachts that will be attending the show.

In the first week of December, hundreds of visitors will flock to Nelson's Dockyard to marvel at some of the most impressive charter vessels at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show. Ranging from 72 to 90 metres in length, we take a look at the five largest yachts that will be attending the highly-esteemed charter event.

NERO - 90.1m

Following an extensive refit in 2021, Corsair Yachts’ 90.1m NERO presents an unparalleled offering to the charter market. She was built in 2007, designed in the ‘spirit of Corsari’: a yacht launched in the 1930s. Because of this, she embodies all the glamour of yachting’s golden age.

Her design and amenities are equally outstanding: she features new handmade carpets throughout, a new hardwood floor in the sky lounge and soft furnishings and fabrics, lending itself to a lavish new interior alongside a new state-of-the-art gym, a beauty salon, and observation lounge cinema.

NERO has a packed toy garage, with her distinctive 9.5m Corsair custom-built tender, an inflatable waterside, and five brand-new seabobs. From fitness and pampering to exquisite dining and water-sports opportunities, NERO presents a diverse and exhilarating charter opportunity.

She is available for charter with Burgess from $497,000 per week.

MALTESE FALCON - 88m

Delivered in 2006 by Perini Navi, MALTESE FALCON is an award-winning vessel that remains one of the world’s most innovative sailing yachts. Following a huge double refit in summer 2022 and winter 2022-23, the iconic yacht is better than ever with a series of exceptional upgrades.

There is a new extendable passerelle that takes you all the way down to the water where there is an inflatable platform for beach club sea-level living. On the flybridge, there is a circular sunbed that rotates with the sun, so guests can feel as connected to the outdoor environment as possible.

She can accommodate up to 12 guests across six cabins, one of which being a full-beam master suite that features a walk-in wardrobe, adjoining gym and his-and-hers bathrooms. The accommodation is configured in a flexible layout, with four double cabins on the lower deck able to be joined to create two VIP suites: perfect for charter parties.

MALTESE FALCON has a plethora of unique features which include a three deck sky-lit atrium in which the stairs spiral around the main mast as well as the world’s largest outdoor cinema where movies are projected onto the lower sail.

She is available for charter with Burgess from $490,000 per week.

PROJECT X - 88m

PROJECT X was launched in 2022 by Golden Yachts, immediately acknowledged for her unique design and diverse range of amenities. She has an LOA of 88m and is fully customised.

She has a striking exterior profile that features cascading aft decks alongside a contemporary interior design that features luxurious materials such as marble and leather and an impressive collection of Greek art. She has a triple-height glass atrium lift, notably the largest cylinder lift ever installed on a yacht.

PROJECT X has nine cabins that can sleep up to 12 guests, in which there is a master suite that boasts direct access to a private deck with a jacuzzi. Her main saloon offers multiple seating options and floor-to-ceiling glass panels that can be retracted to grant access to the side decks.

Her amenities include a fully-equipped wellness suite, an incredible array of water toys and an outdoor cinema set up, showing how PROJECT X caters to everyone's charter desires.

PROJECT X is available for charter with Camper & Nicholsons with winter charter rates starting from €1,100,00 per week.

SAMSARA - 88.5m

Labelled as ‘home away from home’, 88.5m SAMSARA is a stunning charter vessel built by Oceanco in 2015. She is warm and inviting whilst offering unparalleled luxury in a masterful design.

What makes SAMSARA such an exceptional charter offering is that she is the perfect balance between luxury and comfort: she boasts a vast amount of space on board, with stunning furnishings and a contemporary style, whilst being designed predominantly for guests to experience a comfortable and peaceful charter. The main saloon, for instance, is divided into smaller lounge areas, creating intimacy, with a large television for cosy nights in.

SAMSARA features a spacious gym and massage rooms, highlighting the importance placed on wellness onboard. 12 guests can be accommodated across seven cabins which are configured as a master suite, two VIPs and four guest cabins. The master cabin is located on the upper deck, with panoramic views onto the private deck area.

Alongside many amenities onboard, SAMSARA has a well-equipped toy box so guests can enjoy their time on the water. From diving gear to inflatable toys, the surrounding environment can be enjoyed to the fullest.

SAMSARA is available for charter with Y.CO from €1,100,00 per week.

QUANTUM OF SOLACE - 72.23m
