Things are no different in the constantly evolving world of yachting, so as we approach the new year we invite you to reflect back on some of Superyachts.com's most read articles over the past 12 months...

1. Jeff Bezos Reportedly Building 127m Oceanco Sailing Yacht Y721

Whenever there is noise surrounding the world's richest man, people immediately take note. This was no different back in May when a flurry of readers headed to the site to find out about the Amazon founder's reported construction of Oceanco's 127m sailing yacht Y721. The piece gives a sneak-preview into the potential ownership of the world's largest sailing yacht. 

2. First Amels 200 Yacht STELLA M Delivered to New Owner

In June there was a great deal of hype around the quick turnaround of Amels and Damen Yachting's delivery of STELLA M shortly after its sale was announced. She was the first yacht to be launched from the Amels 200 Limited Editions range sparking much curiosity about the special yacht the Dutch shipyard brought to life. 

3. Coming Soon: Australia InDepth Trailer Launched at MYS’21

Much excitement was generated in September about the SY Original Australia InDepth series. Visitors to the site could not wait to catch a glimpse of the trailer featuring spectacular vistas from the so-called 'Land Down Under'. The trailer teased viewers about the feature series that shows off both Australia's natural beauty as well as the infrastructure that makes it a perfect location for superyacht charters.

4. Feadship Launches 94m Eco-Superyacht Project 817

In anticipation of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference that took place in Glasgow in November, the superyacht industry as a whole has stepped up attempts to be more concious on the effects of the environment. This was no different for Feadship who excited our readers with the launch of the 94m VIVA. The yacht's hybrid propulsion as well as systems in place to minimise energy wastage served readers an example of what they can hope to expect from greener superyacht launches in the future.  

5. Larendael to Build 53-Hectare Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus

Education perhaps is a somewhat underreported area of the superyacht industry, however, readers revelled in the excited news of investment firm Larendael's plans to build a ‘Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus’ last month. The announcement discusses compelling plans not only in the field of innovation in the yachting industry but also an intention to reach an 'energy neutral' target.
