TDoS Unveils 120m World Explorer SCINTILLA
From the design studio behind 222m private residence yacht SOMNIO comes 120m SCINTILLA; a new breed of adventurous world cruiser who looks to combine luxury and sustainability in the ultimate ‘new wave’ offering.
In collaboration with DreamLiner Yachting and IYC, Tillberg Design of Sweden and Laurent Giles Naval Architects have unveiled a 120m / 393ft world voyager concept aimed at offering ‘the ultimate world cruising experience’. Accommodating some 36 guests and 44 crew members, the sleek vessel features five decks, dynamic lines and contrasting blues atop a white hull to elegant yet formidable effect.
TDoS’ Scandinavian roots are evidenced throughout the yacht’s minimalist interiors. With a clean look and feel, SCINTILLA is in no way lacking in amenities; guests can choose between five generous lounges and three dining areas for relaxation and entertainment. Indoor / outdoor living is a key theme in the concept design, with wide panoramic windows maximising the connection to nature as the yacht cruises through surreal surroundings.
SCINTILLA is equipped with 18 spacious guest suites across the pool deck and heli deck levels, where the theme indoor / outdoor connectivity continues. A multi-level owners’ suite takes up the aft portion of the bridge and heli decks, opening onto a private deck with Jacuzzi tub and infinity pool.
Of course, water sports make up a key aspect of outdoor living, and SCINTILLA’s impressive toy arrangement is only a reflection of this. Housing a seaplane, submarine, foldable catamaran, expedition RIBS, amphibious and land vehicles, jet skis, quads and a helicopter, SCINTILLA’s equipment is nothing short of the best on the market.
Conceived as a truly ‘future-proof’ superyacht, SCINTILLA’s design incorporates locally-sourced and eco-conscious materials throughout her interior and exterior spaces. Laurent Giles, responsible for the yacht’s naval architecture, has devised hybrid engines in addition to a combination battery and alternative fuel system to meet her owner’s forward-thinking requirements.
“With this concept, we have anticipated the demands of future yacht owners, who will appreciate having a means to explore the world’s oceans responsibly within luxurious accommodations,” says TDoS partner and Yacht Director Daniel Nerhagen. “Our aim for the exterior was to create a modern and sporty look, and also incorporate classic lines that will stand the test of time. Scintilla is indeed a world traveler for all locations.”
