The 34th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show opened with a sense of renewed purpose and energy, firmly establishing itself as the indispensable event for luxury yachting’s future. The exclusive Grand Opening Night unveiled the first Blue Wake Awards, spotlighting real-world sustainable innovations shaping the industry’s path forward. Managing Director Gaëlle Tallarida opened the conversations by emphasising the event’s renewed focus on genuine environmental innovation, showcased by the launch of the Blue Wake Awards.

This year, Monaco Yacht Show featured 120 vessels berthing in the iconic Port Hercule, including three remarkable catamarans. Among these, 50 were newbuilds launched in 2025, with 66 superyachts being under 2 years old.The fleet was split between 65 yachts presented by shipyards and 55 by brokers, ensuring a diverse collection spanning new builds, charters, and brokerage listings. Alongside the superyachts, 57 luxury tenders were on display, including two extraordinary submarines.

MYS 2025 also expanded its adventurous offering: the Adventure Area showcased 23 cars and motorcycles alongside 1 helicopter, creating an immersive experience beyond the watercraft for visitors seeking thrills and style

Reflecting on Lürssen’s 150 years and recent rebranding, CEO Peter Lürssen pointed to flagship projects and the pioneering fuel-cell cosmos project. He reiterated the company’s commitment:

‘The drive to minimise impact is at the heart of everything we do.’

Jonny Horsfield, Owner and Creative Director of H2 Yacht Design, shared insights on REV, the soon-to-be largest superyacht, and the rising influence of younger buyers seeking highly personalised yachts under 90 metres. H2’s new studio in Nice reinforces closeness to Mediterranean clients and current market shifts.

Espen Oeino unveiled his studio’s forward-looking modular nuclear propulsion concept, underlining how the industry must proactively seize opportunities amid evolving technologies and market shifts to achieve net-zero goals by 2050.

Jonathan Beckett, CEO of Burgess, discussed how client expectations in brokerage are evolving. His firm continues to set benchmarks with landmark vessels like Amadeus, focusing on highly personal ownership experiences and leveraging digital channels to connect with a new generation of superyacht owners.

On the docks, the range of exhibited vessels was as diverse as ever, highlighted by Benetti’s 107-metre Mar; the largest confirmed yacht at the show. Beyond the impressive design and scale it’s the crew’s steady commitment that shapes the experience onboard, far from home but unmistakably part of the story.

Exploration yachts Valor and Amalya impressed alongside refitted classics like Here Comes the Sun, exemplifying the blend of craftsmanship, innovation, and customisation at Monaco.

2025’s show proved that the industry is moving beyond words: sustainability is now about validated solutions and measurable progress. This year’s milestones and conversations signal a future where luxury yachting embraces both performance and responsibility.

As Port Hercule quiets down and the sun sets on another exceptional edition, Superyachts.com would like to give special thanks to our co-exhibitors, sponsors, interviewees, visitors, host Shari Liu and the fantastic team; without your support, none of this would be possible.
