The Debutantes: Standout Yachts Making Their Global Premiere at PBIBS
The Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026 sharpens the focus on first impressions, with a line-up of global debuts that underscore the industry’s appetite for innovation. As Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows at Informa Markets, notes, ‘it’s the first time the public will get a look at some incredible boats,’ a sentiment that resonates across this year’s standout premieres.
Among the most anticipated is Numarine’s 40MXP, a 40-metre flagship that advances the shipyard’s Mediterranean explorer concept. Built on the foundations of their successful XP Series, the yacht reinterprets long-range cruising through a lifestyle-led lens. Expansive exterior decks prioritise open-air living, while a 6,000-nautical-mile range at 8 knots ensures transatlantic capability. The result is a yacht that moves effortlessly between worlds, and captures a growing shift towards versatility without compromise.
A more performance-driven statement comes from Alia Yachts with the 43M XIMENA. Defined by a sharp, arrow-like profile and a fast displacement hull exceeding 22 knots, she is engineered for dynamic cruising. Yet beneath this assertive exterior lies a carefully considered balance of comfort and design: light-filled interiors, a forward owner’s suite with panoramic views, and fluid connections to the surrounding seascape. XIMENA is not simply fast, she is deliberate, pairing speed with a refined onboard experience.
Elsewhere, new entrant Manari Yachts introduces the MANARI 52, described by Doole as ‘one of the fastest Volvo IPS-powered 52-foot yachts ever built.’ As the brand’s first model, she arrives with a clear emphasis on performance, signalling an ambitious entry into the market. Galeon’s 520 FLY also makes her world premiere, representing, in Doole’s words, ‘the latest advancement’ of the yard’s flybridge collection, where evolving design meets decades of craftsmanship.
Innovation continues with the OT-60 from Omikron Yachts, a 60-foot cruiser that merges the efficiency and quietude of a sailing yacht with the volume and comfort of a motor yacht. Designed for extended, low-consumption cruising, she reflects a growing interest in hybrid design philosophies that prioritise both sustainability and onboard liveability.
The debut of the MAX 44R from Maxim Yachts brings a more overtly performance-oriented edge, combining triple outboard power with speeds exceeding 50 knots. Conceived for dynamic, social use, she pairs high-speed capability with generous lounging areas, reinforcing the enduring appeal of sport-driven day boats.
Finally, Aiata introduces the WAYFINDER 38, a modular platform that challenges traditional notions of fixed yacht design. Offered in multiple configurations, including Cabin and Suntop, the model is designed to evolve alongside her owner, adapting to different uses, climates and lifestyles over time. In doing so, she presents a compelling vision of flexibility as a core design principle.
Together, these debutantes reveal an industry eternally defined by evolution. Whether through the long-range ambitions of the 40MXP, the performance precision of XIMENA, or the adaptability of newer platforms, each yacht contributes to a broader narrative. As Doole reflects, ‘seeing the latest innovations hit the market is something I really look forward to.’ At PBIBS, those innovations are not only on display, but they are setting the tone for the year ahead.
"We also have a number of world debuts, meaning it’s the first time the public will get a look at some incredible boats. Seeing the latest innovations hit the market is something I really look forward to."
