From Monaco’s glittering quaysides to hidden shipyard stories, Superyachts.com’s growing catalogue of original documentaries continues to unveil the glamour, innovation, and human spirit driving the superyacht world. With quite a few documentaries and focus series under our belt at Superyachts.com, we thought it might be a good idea to do a roundup of each one. Since our first production, we’ve sought to chronicle the evolution of this dynamic industry, celebrating the people, places, and designs that define it. Here’s a look back at the journey so far.

Made in Italy (2019)
A five-part exploration of Italian craftsmanship and culture, Made in Italy dives into the country’s design DNA — from automotive style and architecture to the art of yacht building. Travelling Italy’s 7,000km of coastline, the series investigates how this creative nation continues to deliver more luxury yachts to the water than anywhere else, and always in true Italian style.

The Legacy of the Capital (2019)
Set in Abu Dhabi, this six-part series captures the grandeur, cultural depth, and modern luxury that define the Emirati capital. Through heritage landmarks, bespoke itineraries, and opulent marinas, The Legacy of the Capital showcases the UAE’s evolution into a world-class superyacht destination.

Concept to Reality (2019)
Across eight episodes, Concept to Reality traces the process of modern yacht design — where vision meets engineering. Featuring leading naval architects and designers, the series reveals how radical ideas transform into revolutionary vessels through innovation, collaboration, and creativity.

Top 100: Building Giants (2019)
In this nine-episode documentary, Building Giants unveils what it truly takes to design and construct the largest superyachts in the world. Through in-depth discussions with brokers, builders, and shipyard leaders, the series highlights the scale, ingenuity, and craftsmanship behind these floating masterpieces.

Top 100: Building Green Giants (2022)
A natural evolution of the Top 100 series, Building Green Giants investigates how the industry is reshaping itself in an era of sustainability. Collaborating with organisations like Blue Marine Foundation, it uncovers the innovations propelling greener design, cleaner technologies, and responsible luxury afloat.

Australia InDepth: The Ultimate Charter Experience (2022)
Spanning seven episodes, Australia InDepth opens the gateway to one of the world’s most diverse cruising destinations. From Sydney’s vibrant harbours to the Great Barrier Reef and wild Kimberley coastlines, the series presents Australia as an emerging, year-round superyacht playground teeming with adventure.

This is Monaco (2022)
The first of our Monaco-focused documentaries, This is Monaco is a three-part portrait of the yachting capital’s enduring prestige. From the Monaco Yacht Show to the Principality’s sustainable initiatives, the series highlights how legacy and innovation continue to intersect on the Riviera.

The FAM Trip: Antigua & Barbuda (2023)
This two-part reality-style series follows luxury travel expert Shari Liu and six superyacht professionals on an immersive journey across the Caribbean. The FAM Trip reveals how hands-on experiences shape meticulously curated itineraries for discerning travellers seeking authenticity and adventure.

Meet the Experts (2024)
A pivot toward personalities, Meet the Experts celebrates the designers, builders, and visionaries shaping the superyacht world — including Lürssen’s Michael Breman, Sanlorenzo’s Ferruccio Rossi, and creative minds like Jim Dixon and Sarah Flavell. Each short-form interview captures the passion and drive behind the industry’s global influence.

This or That (2025)
Launched with playful energy, This or That poses rapid-fire questions to leading voices such as BGYB’s Audrey Lucas and Ocean Alexander’s Dan Mundy. From “sails vs. motors” to “custom vs. standard,” the series brings personality and spontaneity to the world of maritime mastery.

Building Nations (2025)
Our most ambitious production yet, Building Nations spans four episodes and five continents, featuring unprecedented shipyard access to 17 companies. This sweeping series spotlights the craftspeople transforming steel into billion-dollar icons, showcasing the industry’s vast economic and creative impact. Now streaming on Prime Video and Apple TV.
