The Superyacht Shows That Set the Tone in 2025
From the sun-soaked docks of the Caribbean to the glamour of the Mediterranean and the fast-growing hubs of the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, 2025 proved to be a defining year for the global yachting calendar. Across continents, the world’s leading yacht shows not only showcased extraordinary vessels, but also revealed an industry increasingly focused on sustainability, experience, and innovation.
The year opened in style with the Dubai International Boat Show, where record visitor numbers, landmark sales and a strong sustainability message underlined Dubai’s role as a global superyacht hub. Momentum continued stateside at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, which delivered one of the largest superyacht line-ups in the world and reaffirmed Florida’s status as a cornerstone of the international market.
Spring in Europe belonged to the Mediterranean. The MYBA Charter Show’s return to Sanremo marked a nostalgic yet forward-looking restart to the charter season, while the Palma International Boat Show raised the bar with its expanded Superyacht New Build Hub and tangible environmental initiatives. Together, they highlighted the growing importance of refit, new build innovation and responsible yachting.
As summer approached, the Newport Charter Yacht Show reinforced its position as a charter-focused forum, placing crew, education and service excellence at the heart of the conversation. Attention then turned to Cannes, where the Cannes Yachting Festival once again set industry trends with hundreds of world premieres and a strong emphasis on eco-efficient technology.
Autumn brought a global perspective. The Monaco Yacht Show delivered one of its most purposeful editions yet, shifting sustainability from discussion to demonstrable action through the launch of the Blue Wake Awards. Meanwhile, the Qatar Boat Show continued its rapid ascent, blending Middle Eastern heritage with large-scale ambition and immersive waterfront experiences.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the Sydney International On-Water Boat Show celebrated Australia’s maritime culture and technological ingenuity, before the year drew to a close in unmistakable Caribbean style at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show. Set against sunshine and turquoise waters, Antigua provided a relaxed yet professional finale, reaffirming its place at the heart of the winter charter season.
Together, these events shaped the narrative of 2025: a year defined by global growth, meaningful innovation, and a clear shift towards responsible luxury. As the industry looks ahead, the yacht shows of 2025 have not just reflected where yachting stands today, but where it is confidently heading next.
