Third Unit of Pershing GTX116 Launched

By Frances Flannagan

Combining a sporty heritage with unparalleled comfort, the Pershing GTX116 is a model that represents the ultimate way to experience the sea. The third unit features the height of innovation alongside opulent interiors, serving as a reminder of Pershing’s exceptional ability to balance onboard excitement with luxury.

On January 17th, the third unit of the Pershing GTX116 was launched, named BYEEE..., likely due to her fast speed of 34 knots. This 35m yacht boasts a powerfully sporty character and superlative liveability, the result of the collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, the design firm led by Fulvio DeSimoni and the Group’s Engineering Department.

The Pershing GTX116 flaunts a sleek and streamlined silhouette, contributing to her sporty personality as well as hinting at luxury SUV automotive imagery, strongly marking the model as an SUY: Sport Utility Yacht.

She is elegant and sophisticated, with the classic Pershing grey used for her superstructure and sundeck whilst the hull, forward and aft sunpad areas and the winch boast a metallic anthracite colour. This more daring, darker shade sets her apart from her sisterships, as her lateral terrace and hard top are also painted an indulgent dark grey. Extensive glazing lends itself to an interior which is flooded with natural light, creating an interplay between interior and exterior.

A spacious saloon can be found on the main deck, which features a plethora of sophisticated furnishings, one of which being the large dining table with a leather top and a frame clad in rich brown upholstery. Listone Giordano penned the taupe oak parquet floor, which pairs perfectly with the elegance of the interiors whilst giving the setting a warm and comfortable feeling.

The yacht's exteriors are the perfect place to spend relaxing moments surrounded by the sea, with a cockpit that features a large teak table and a beach club that has sunloungers. Unlike the first and second units which feature a jacuzzi on the bow area, this yacht has a generous sunpad, two removable tables and a small bar area, so the Owner and guests can make the most of al fresco living.

Three guest cabins and the master cabin are located on the lower deck, the master bathroom boasting unmatched space and comfort. This area features two entrances, two regular showers and a central waterfall shower, the essence of luxury elevated by an aluminium herringbone mosaic by Metalborder.

The sundeck is the perfect example of the sociable nature of the yacht: it can be accessed via two outdoor stairways and features a convivial yet refined layout that provides generous spaces. A garage containing a jet ski and two water toys further elevates life at sea as guests can alternate between leisure and excitement on the water.

Her sporty heritage is perfectly balanced with luxury and comfort, with an abundance of open air space enhancing a connection with the water. This innovative design revolutionises the cruising experience, highlighting the exceptional capabilities of the Italian yard as well as showcasing why the GTZ116 is a highly successful model.

"With a powerfully sporty character and superlative liveability, this yacht is bursting with innovation and excitement and revolutionises the cruising experience, taking it into a new dimension."
