Three Launches Within Three Weeks: Custom Line’s Spectacular Close to 2023

By Frances Flannagan

2023 saw Custom Line launching 21 superyachts in total: a highly successful year for the Italian yard. The year ended on a high with three new launches: 41.8m NIMIR, the 20th unit of Custom Line 106’, and the 30th Custom Line Navetta 33 PUFFERFISH.

Last year saw record numbers and exponential growth for Custom Line, alongside the exciting official opening of the new operational headquarters at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona back in December. Three yachts were launched in the last weeks of 2023, concluding the year in a remarkable way.

Hitting the water on November 28th, motor yacht NIMIR was developed by Ferretti Group’s Engineering Department with the Custom Line Atelier playing a key role in the interior design process. She features a sleek and dynamic profile, with flowing lines, a formal clarity and a functional aesthetic.

Her interiors have a muted colour palette, with pale shades of subtle milk white and sand contrasted with elegant grey hues. A variety of fine materials have been used for the furnishings, including Biana Gioia and Carrara marble, creating a regal yet refined effect.

On the 5th of December, the Custom Line 106’ was launched, with Francesco Paszkowski supporting the interior design process. She embodies Made in Italy excellence, radiating a luminous beauty due to the abundance of natural light that permeates the onboard spaces. She is a timeless vessel, an emblem of clean architectural lines contributing to her overall style.

This yacht offers generous spaces and clean, rigorous lines, with a LOA of 32.82m and a beam of 7.4m. A silk grey-coloured wood used throughout the interiors adds a note of modernity to the design, paired with neutral colours such as pearl and vivid hues of bronze and anthracite. Like NIMIR, sophisticated materials contribute to the luxurious nature of the vessel, with fine marbles and nubuck leather used throughout.

The final launch of the year took place on December 19th and was 33m PUFFERFISH: the 30th unit of the popular Navetta 30 line. The Strategic Product Committee handled her exterior styling and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department penned her interiors, with strategic interior design consulting provided by the Custom Line Atelier.

PUFFERFISH features the model’s signature silhouette, exuding class and light-touch sophistication. Her interiors are chic and stylish, with neutral colours harmoniously contrasted with vibrant shades of pink, blue and orange used for the decor and furnishings, alongside the addition of high-quality materials such as Calcatta Oro marble.

2023 was a sensational year for Custom Line, reaffirming the shipyard’s original mission and the brand’s strengths: the combination of state-of-the-art technology, ingenious functional solutions and an unmistakable design.

The customisation of the interiors showcases Custom Line’s meticulous attention to detail at its greatest, highlighting the Italian yard’s ability to transform each superyacht into a breathtaking work of art and a masterpiece that reflects each owner’s individual story.
