Through The Looking Glass: Bhushan Powar Unveils 110m ZION
Bhushan Powar, an award-winning Indian yacht design studio founded in 2019, has now revealed the renderings of their latest concept, the 110m Zion, which features a futuristic 360 degree glass viewing dome.
Bhushan Powar's design team pride themselves on their expertise, specifically in exterior styling for yachts, product design and architecture, making them one of the first luxury design studios in the country.
Zion's design takes inspiration from the vastness and phenomenon of the universe, with our attention immediately drawn to her main highlight, the "glass eye" viewing dome that can be likened to a black hole, allowing guests an uninterrupted 360 degree of the water.
"Nature is the guiding principle for the design of everything that surrounds us," says Powar.
"We look for something in it that allows us to define ourselves."
This unique vessel boasts a large flybridge located on the Upper Deck that is designed to have the highest visibility and manoeuvrability in all weather conditions.
A 12-metre helipad is also located on the Upper Deck and can be accessed via a glass column elevator that serves all decks, granting guests with the freedom to travel beyond the coastline whenever they desire.
Zion can host a maximum of 20 guests across the span of 10 elegant staterooms, accompanied by a dedicated luxurious master suite on the Main Deck. Guests within the master suite can indulge in electronically operated sky lounge balconies on either side for private use, allowing for an intimate space and alternative viewing platform. In terms of crew, she can accommodate up to 20 members onboard.
Her main deck features an open-plan alfresco dining area alongside a stunning glass-bottomed infinity pool encompassed in large sunpads and cosy seating for guests to enjoy the sun, all of which can be found by a large hanging bridge that suspends across the two spaces.
Her lower deck includes a large tender garage to allow for easy and safe deployment of tenders, jet skis and other water toys and ammenities.
Zion's beach club, which can also be converted into an expandable sunbathing pace and terrace, is situated aft with a modern gym and an open garden space.
"The universe is a mysterious place with plenty yet to be discovered."
We look forward to new phenomenons that Bhushan Powar decide to explore next.
