Top 100 Milestone: Oceanco’s 111m Y726 Moves for Outfitting

By Emily Dawkins

Oceanco has revealed that a milestone has been reached, as its 111m motor yacht Y726 has now been moved for outfitting. With a gross tonnage of 4,550 and a beam of 16m, this mammoth vessel will become one of the largest yachts by volume to be built by the Dutch shipyard when officially launched. She was transported from Oceanco’s first-phase construction facilities in Zwijndrecht to its outfitting facilities in Alblasserdam, where she will begin the final stages of construction in the new year.

Moving along the Oude Maas River in style, decorated in beautiful graffiti by Rotterdam-based graffiti artist ‘I AM EELCO’ to mark the joyous occasion, Y726 captivated not just onlookers, but has now captivated the industry.

Featuring a powerful exterior design by Espen Øino International, interiors penned by Mark Berryman Design, and naval architecture from Lateral Naval Architects and Oceanco’s in-house team, Y726 is destined for greatness.

Whilst renders remain secretive, according to the yard the 111m will boast an array of incredible features and amenities including a winter garden, covered cocktail area, outdoor cinema and sundeck lounge. A multi-purpose entertainment area with a jacuzzi and swimming pool is situated on the main deck aft, showcasing the vessel’s wealth of relaxing and entertaining spaces.

And those are only some of the amenities found outside. Inside, there is a spacious cinema lounge, gym, spa with sauna and steam room, and a beach club lounge with a bar that opens directly onto a swimming platform.

Alongside a host of remarkable features, the interior of Y726 will be warm and refined, and guests will also benefit from magnificent views when onboard thanks to large stretching windows.

‘Y726 is a prime example of what can be achieved when all parties at the table work together in a positive and collaborative way,’ commented Dan Jackson, the Owner’s Representative from Falcon Yacht Management. ‘We are very much looking forward to entering the next phase of this project and delivering the client a stunning yacht.’

Y726 will be able to accommodate up to 28 guests in 14 cabins, one of which is a private owner’s suite with a jacuzzi. Up to 34 crew will care for guests’ every need.

Oceanco’s Project Director, Edske Smit shared: ‘We are looking forward to getting started on the next phase of Y726’s construction in the New Year. There is a very collaborative spirit on the project, and she promises to be a spectacular addition to the Oceanco fleet once delivered. We are grateful for the positive partnership that has developed among everyone involved, including the co-makers and owner’s team.’

This news comes as yet another exciting update to the top 100 largest yachts in the world, as Y726 is set to become the fourth largest Oceanco build by length, tied with the yard's iconic 111m KAOS. Y726 now joins the 111m scientific research vessel Y722 who is also currently undergoing outfitting in Alblasserdam, scheduled for delivery in 2025.
