Although there is huge progress being made in terms of sustainability in the fashion and jewellery industry, there is still a long way to go. There are debates to be had and stigmas to be removed, particularly when approaching the subject of mining diamonds versus lab-grown diamonds. 

"Recycling old jewellery is the ultimate way to go. It's ecologically friendly, and I don't believe any jewellery made should be wasted or put away in a safety deposit box." says Manolov.

"I often take my client's old pieces, whether it's jewellery or gem stones, and give them a new face and a new opportunity; a new start."

"Sustainability is very important to me. It should be important to everyone. There are so many resources being used in the fashion industry, there is so much waste", adds Manolov.

"To have the opportunity to make a piece of jewellery using recycled gold or old diamonds is incredible. Beauty should be beauty, but it should not be at the cost of our planet."
