The Monaco Yacht Show has been postponed until 2021; but show season is not yet doomed. Cannes Yachting Festival will be taking place as planned between 8-13 September at Vieux Port and Port Canto in the French Riviera’s favourite yachting town. The 43rd edition may be the most pivotal auguration of the festival yet, as many shipyards will choose Cannes to debut models they may have showcased instead at Monaco. We take a look at a few of the exciting ranges greeting the world on the docks of Cannes this year.

43 Wallytender
Although not technically a ‘superyacht’, the 43Wallytender boasts all of the sleek design, comfort and performance characteristic of one. The latest addition to the Ferretti Group family will be showcasing its new offering on the docks of Cannes next month, demonstrating the evolution of Wally’s historic brand under the curation of the group. ‘We have once again succeeded in evolving our offering to satisfy the yacht owners of today and tomorrow by elevating the day-boat yachting standards,’ comments Stefano de Vivo, Wally Managing Director. Reaching speeds of over 40 knots and accommodating up to 12 people, the 43Wallytender comes well equipped for a thrilling day adventure to remember.

Sunreef 80 Power
French boat builder turned global leader in luxury catamaran build, Sunreef Yachts will be debuting its acclaimed Sunreef 80 Power at this year’s festival. Recently making headlines as tennis star Rafael Nadal took delivery of one, the Sunreef 80 is single-handedly turning the tide on popular perception of catamarans, by virtue of a bespoke and luxurious design. The model is powered by twin 1200HP engines, features an inordinate amount of volume for a build of its size, as well as such luxurious amenities as a jet-ski garage and private-fold out balcony in the master stateroom.

Mazu 82
Representing Turkey’s up-and-coming boatbuilding scene, Mazu Yachts will be gracing the docks of Vieux Port with its newly-delivered flagship Mazu 82. “The hull lines of the new Mazu 82 were designed in-house to provide a perfect balance between top speed, seakeeping capability and fuel efficiency,” comments Halit Yukay, lead designer and CEO of Mazu Yachts. Delivered to her new owner in July, the Mazu 82 is the largest yacht built by the burgeoning yard, and reaches brow-lifting speeds of up to 40 knots.

Azimut Magellano 25 Metri
Prolific Italian boat builder Azimut Yachts will be arriving at Cannes in full force with its latest flagship, the Magellano 25 Metri. The singularly artistic exterior design by Ken Freivokh will be showcased for the first time on the docks of Vieux Port, evidencing the success of a creative collaboration between the British designer and Vincenzo de Cotiis’ original take on the interiors.
