Turquoise Unveils the Largest Superyacht Ever Built in Turkey
Turquoise Yachts has launched its new 87.7m flagship NB74, Project VENTO, the largest yacht ever built in Turkey and the most substantial build in the yard’s history. Designed inside and out by long-term collaborator H2 Yacht Design, the five-deck steel and aluminium superyacht was completed at Turquoise’s Pendik facilities in Istanbul.
CEO Burak Akgül describes VENTO as the culmination of more than 30 years of Turquoise heritage, praising the 'extraordinary efforts of our team and valued solution partners, to whom we extend our sincere thanks'. The yacht’s 'Tour de France' blue-inspired hull, flowing superstructure and distinctive angled grilles and aft louvre detailing give her a classic yet contemporary profile on the water.
Exterior guest areas have been designed for versatile, family-friendly living, with an enclosed drive-in tender dock leading into a beach club with fold-down terraces and skylights from the pool above. On the main deck aft, a 6.5m glass-sided pool with counterflow jet stream forms the social focal point, while the owner’s deck offers an aft bar and dining area that can be fully enclosed, plus a private forward terrace with recessed seating and jacuzzi.
A touch-and-go helipad that doubles as a basketball court, a generous bridge deck lounge and an expansive sundeck with outdoor cinema, bar and open-air kitchen underline the yacht’s focus on active outdoor enjoyment. Forward on the sundeck, fixed sunpads encircle a jacuzzi and TV to create another informal gathering spot.
Taking inspiration from the 77m GO, VENTO’s interior carries a richer, more elaborate Art Deco-influenced aesthetic tailored to the owner’s lifestyle. Blue accents and glamorous detailing run through the main saloon, which features a statement bar, circular seating and a round dining table for 16, while a more relaxed owner’s saloon includes a cinema screen, games table and casual seating.
Accommodation is arranged with two VIP cabins and four guest cabins on the main deck, each with its own colour palette and decorative identity. The owner’s suite forward on the owner’s deck includes a private lounge, his-and-hers dressing rooms, office, elevated breakfast table with panoramic views and direct access to the private terrace and jacuzzi via sliding glass doors.
Wellness occupies the bridge deck, where a large gym with glazing on three sides connects to a spa area with sauna, hammam and treatment room. A dramatic open stair atrium links all decks, centred around a suspended Dale Chihuly sculpture as a striking vertical artwork.
VENTO was developed in close collaboration between Turquoise Yachts, H2 Yacht Design and the owner’s team, represented by Occam Marine, with the build characterised by transparency and a shared commitment to excellence. Following delivery, she will be available for charter with Robert Shepherd at Edmiston.
"VENTO is set to be a striking testament to what can be achieved when shipyard and owner’s team work in true harmony."
