Turquoise Yachts Delivers 88m Angelique: Turkey’s Largest Superyacht to Date

By Sophia Spanton

Turquoise Yachts has delivered the 88m motor yacht Angelique, marking a significant milestone as the largest yacht ever constructed in Turkey by both length and volume.

The yacht, formerly known as Project Vento (NB74), was handed over from the shipyard’s Pendik facility in Istanbul. With a gross tonnage of 2,646GT spread across five decks, Angelique surpasses the yard’s previous flagship and establishes a new benchmark for Turkish superyacht construction in the 80-metre-plus segment.

Angelique is the second yacht in a series of five custom builds developed from Turquoise’s 80-metre platform. Exterior and interior design were both handled by H2 Yacht Design, continuing a collaboration that spans more than two decades with the yard.

'It is still difficult to fully grasp the sheer scale of the achievement of our team and valued solution partners,' says Burak Akgül, CEO of Turquoise Yachts. 'As the second – and largest – of five custom yachts derived from our 80-metre platform, Angelique unequivocally marks a new standard of our ability.'

The hull features a striking ‘Tour de France’ blue finish with a sculpted superstructure, balanced proportions, and distinctive detailing including angled grilles and aft louvres. Key exterior spaces include a 6.5-metre glass-sided counterflow pool on the main deck aft, a private owner’s deck with winter garden capability, a forward owner’s terrace with jacuzzi, and a foredeck helipad that doubles as a basketball court. The sun deck offers a large entertainment area with a bar, outdoor kitchen, cinema, and jacuzzi.

Interior spaces draw on a contemporary evolution of Art Deco influences, incorporating rich blue accents and bespoke detailing. Standout features include a suspended Dale Chihuly sculpture in the central atrium, extensive locally crafted polished stainless steel elements, and high-standard lacquer work.

'It is the finest I have ever seen from any shipyard,' adds Jonny Horsfield, founder of H2 Yacht Design. 'The quality of the lacquer work is also world-class. Both are exceptionally difficult elements to execute well, yet Ulutas and Turquoise have achieved a truly exceptional finish. Their quality and attention to detail are second to none, and it is always a pleasure to collaborate with them.'

The yacht includes a spacious beach club with folding terraces, a drive-in tender garage, wellness facilities on the bridge deck (gym, spa, sauna, and hammam), and accommodation for up to 12 guests across seven cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite with private terrace.

Owner’s project management was handled by Occam Marine. Angelique is now available for charter through Edmiston and is expected to enter the Mediterranean charter fleet for the 2026 summer season.

This delivery reinforces Turquoise Yachts’ growing capability in the large custom yacht sector and highlights the continued rise of Turkish shipbuilding on the global stage.

"I have worked with Turquoise for over 20 years, and the experience has always been one of cooperation and mutual respect. Over that time, I have seen Turquoise evolve and grow into a truly world-class operation, and Angelique is a credit to the yard and its determination to continually improve and learn."
