Turquoise Yachts Reveals 61m Concept Project Echo

By Emily Dawkins

Turquoise Yachts has unveiled a brand new superyacht concept from the drawing board of Canada-based yacht design studio ER Yacht Design. At 61m in length, ‘Project Echo’ marks the first collaboration between the yard and the design studio, with the superyacht concept described by ER as ‘dangerously beautiful’.

Flaunting an elegant yet sporty profile with long sleek lines and a defined reverse bow, the first concept from the partnership between Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts and the Canadian design studio ER Yacht Design, is nothing short of a spectacle.

Described by Turquoise as having ‘restrained flair and unrestrained performance’, Project Echo boasts a uniquely carved profile, with large, stretching windows, all adorned in white with an eye-catching trademark turquoise streak for a pop of colour.

Project Echo is able to provide the utmost comfort onboard to her guests. A private upper deck for the owner allows total privacy and the highest levels of luxury, whilst five remaining staterooms located on the main deck offer lavish accommodation with full-height windows.

In total, Echo can welcome up to 14 guests onboard for a retreat to paradise. A further seven cabins are located below deck for a crew of 14.

As well as luxurious accommodation, Project Echo features an impressive six-metre pool on the aft, and a spacious bow area which offers a glamorous entertaining space for up to 35 guests. Other features include a breathtaking staircase which connects the decks with ease, explained by the studio as being a ‘feature’ not an ‘obstacle’.

ER Yacht Design Founder Ivan Erdevicki commented on the collaboration with Turquoise: ‘it has been our utmost pleasure developing this unique and extraordinary design for Turquoise Yachts from Turkey. The 61 meters of pure elegance and simplicity with uniquely sculptured surfaces around hull and superstructure window openings, provide distinctive character to this design.'

Project Echo has a 10.5m beam, a draft of 2.7m, and a GT of 899. She has a cruising speed of 17 knots, and a maximum speed of 27 knots.
