US Expansion: Burgess Opens New Office in Miami

By Frances Flannagan

Burgess has announced that it has recently opened an office in Miami, contributing to the brokerage's expansion in the United States. This is a wonderful opportunity for Burgess to solidify its presence in the US whilst also making travel between Miami, Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale effortless for its staff members.

The market-leading superyacht brokerage Burgess has announced that it is embarking on the first wave of its US expansion by opening an office in Miami. It is based in the city’s financial district, on the 27th floor of the 35-story 1450 Bricknell office tower.

The company’s expansion into the Bricknell area is significant, following in the footsteps of leading hedge funds and tech companies such as Ken Griffin’s Citadel. The office is located within walking distance of some of the city’s finest restaurants and five-star hotels, and within minutes to the Brightline transportation. This means that Burgess’ team of charter and sale brokers can effortlessly travel between Miami, Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale: three yachting capitals of the continent.

‘The location is very strategic as it puts us in the right company and is convenient for our brokers to meet privately with clients,’ commented Jonathan Beckett, CEO of Burgess. ‘As we look to our future, the US remains our strongest market and this announcement is the first of several expected in the coming 12 months emphasising our commitment to the region and its potential.’

Burgess first opened its South Florida doors over two decades ago, growing a very small team into a staff that have earned a reputation for first-class service. The services offered at Burgess include charter, charter management, brokerage, yacht management and the full suite of owner services.

"As we look to our future, the US remains our strongest market and this announcement is the first of several expected in the coming 12 months emphasising our commitment to the region and its potential."
