Van der Valk Seals Two New Superyacht Orders
It has been a significant few weeks for Van der Valk as the Dutch shipyard has confirmed that two new superyacht projects have been confirmed. Work is now underway on the 34-metre Project 111.11 and 35-metre Project Samba, with both superyachts ordered by experienced owners who have trusted Van der Valk’s expertise in this category.
Project 111.11 and Project Samba are both based on the proven naval architecture platform of Van der Valk’s Lady Lene. The owners have then benefitted from the opportunity to apply their personal preferences to all aspects from styling and layout to facilities and engines.
Each yacht has a unique exterior profile penned by Guido de Groot, who has also been responsible for the interior of Project Samba, while Carla Guilhem has work with the owners on the interiors of Project 111.11.
The owners have even been able to make adjustments to the hulls, with Project 111.11 to be a full displacement hull with twin Volvo Penta 750hp engines, while Project Samba will be a fast displacement hull powered by twin MAN 1450hp diesel engines.
Van der Valk’s proven hull design and naval architecture platform offers owners this choice between a full or fast displacement vessel, providing the freedom to develop a different look and feel while saving on costs.
We look forward to following the development of both of these exciting superyacht projects, adding to the global Van der Valk fleet of over 1000 motoryachts.
