Venice Boat Show 2026 Opens Today in the Historic Arsenale

Organised by Vela Spa on behalf of the City of Venice, in collaboration with the Italian Navy and supported by the Italian Government and the Veneto Region, this year’s show benefits from enhanced international promotion through the Italian Trade Agency (ICE). This has helped attract exhibitors and visitors from around 30 countries, strengthening its position as one of Europe’s most distinctive and atmospheric yachting events.

Set in the dramatic former shipyards of the Serenissima Republic, the 2026 edition features approximately 300 boats — around 240 of which are in the water — across more than 1,100 linear metres of docks within a 55,000 square metre basin. Building on the success of the 2025 show, which welcomed over 30,000 visitors, this year places even greater emphasis on world premieres and sustainable propulsion.

Fifteen national and international debuts are expected, highlighting the industry’s direction towards more efficient and environmentally conscious designs. Sustainability remains a central theme, with an expanded E-Village showcasing electric, hybrid, and hydrogen technologies, alongside dedicated focus days on alternative propulsion.

Among the standout vessels and premieres are several notable Italian and international launches. Ferretti Group is presenting multiple boats, including the Ferretti 670 and the Pershing 6X. Next Yacht Group is displaying the AB80 and AB95 superyachts, while Turkish builder Numarine makes an impact with the 30XP diesel-electric explorer. Beneteau’s Gran Turismo 50 makes its in-water world premiere in Venice, and Sunreef showcases its 70 Power catamaran. Other highlights include the Greenline 42 hybrid, the Invictus ST550, and the debut of the Calita catamaran from Biondi Yacht.

This carefully curated mix of motor yachts, sailing yachts, performance boats, and multihulls makes the show particularly relevant for both prospective buyers and charter professionals preparing for the summer season. Visitors can also take advantage of sea trials in the Venetian lagoon, product presentations, and the unique experience of exploring yachts against centuries of maritime heritage.
