Vripack Reveals More Details About 41m M/Y SEAVIEW

By Frances Flannagan

41m SEAVIEW is a full-custom motor yacht that showcases Vripack design at its greatest, with more space and freedom created on board without increasing the overall length or volume. She is a testament to the lateral thinking of the Dutch design studio, whose routine footprint results in revolutionary layouts.

SEAVIEW has been custom-built for an experienced Brazilian owner who desired space and freedom on board to spend time with his family in private and comfort. Dutch design studio Vripack was chosen to create this innovative design, whilst MCP Yachts is overseeing her construction.

The Brazilian yard delivered award-nominated 37.46m QUEEN TATI in early 2023, also featuring design by Vripack. The yard’s facilities limit yacht length, which means an intelligent configuration was necessary to achieve the space desired by the owner.

She features seven generous guest cabins, including a owners suite with a private deck area and his and hers bathrooms. 14 guests can be accommodated on SEAVIEW, catered for by a crew of 10.

‘Whereas typically the entire midsection of the lower deck would be given over to guest accommodation, we split it into two areas, locating guest cabins on the starboard side and crew service areas on the portside,’ commented Bart Bouwhuis, Co-Creative Director at Vripack. ‘Both sections have separate access and stairways allowing service to continue unimpeded across all decks and guests to enjoy their privacy without coming into contact with the crew.’

The main deck midsection contains four guest cabins, with a dedicated owners suite on the upper deck forward, made possible by the positioning of the galley and laundry room on the lower deck.

In addition to the seven cabins, SEAVIEW boasts a wealth of amenities to entertain guests on board. ‘The owner’s lifestyle requirements were just as extensive as their accommodation needs,’ commented Bouwhuis. ‘With large social gatherings, long lingering family meals and endless days cruising the Brazilian coast on the agenda, Seaview had to deliver multi-generational needs.’

The lower deck is home to a beach club and spa, including a gym, sauna and large swim platform. There are a number of social areas onboard, including a large living area on the main deck and a flexible al fresco dining area on the aft deck, which features a bank of semi-circular oversized sunpads.

The upper deck boasts private banquet seating forward of the master suite, with a formal dining area in the sky lounge for the family to gather. The aft area is free for a jacuzzi and sunpads, due to the split-level pilothouse and captain’s cabin being located forward on the sun deck.

Manoel Chavez, MCP’s CEO and Owner commented: ‘With a scheduled delivery date of early summer 2024, it is without doubt that this biggest MCP build to date will provide optimum comfort and generate valuable yachting moments for her experienced owner and his family, owing to the versatile layout and abundance of clever features.’
