By Freya Cottrell

Dutch shipbuilder Oceanco have launched its largest superyacht to date. Project Y719 is the largest yacht currently under construction in the Netherlands with length of 117m. We were lucky enough to get a first look at this monumental vessel.

Launched from the Dutch shipyard's facility in Alblasserdam, the Netherlands, this herculean yacht was released from the build shed after spending the previous two years in the yard's outfitting facility. Once completed the 117-metre superyacht will be the largest yacht ever to be contructed by Oceanco and is currently the largest yacht under construction within the Netherlands.

Oceanco has an impressive portfolio of larger yachts and traditionally has not shied away from bigger more innovative projects. Yachts such as BRAVO EUGENIA , the 109m motor yacht launched in 2018, made headlines within the yachting industry not only for her length but also for her dedication to sustainability. M/Y KOAS, the 110m motor yacht launched in 2017, also held the title for largest yacht buit in the Netherlands at the time of her delivery. Oceanoco even have the incredible sail yacht BLACK PEARL as part of its fleet which is one of the largests and most ecological sailing yachts in the world.

The launch of Project Y719 marks the first public appearance of the exterior of the vessel which was designed in collaboration with Espen Øino. This is not the first time the two yachting powerhouses have worked in collaboration, previous projects include the spectacular 90m M/Y DREAMBOAT launched in 2019.

Details of the interior of the vessel remain firmly under wraps, hopefully with a delivery penned for Spring 2022, more information might be soon forthcoming.
