What’s New at the MYBA Charter Show 2026?

By Sophia Spanton

The Mediterranean charter season will begin in Sanremo later this month, as the MYBA Charter Show returns to Portosole Marina from 27–30 April 2026 with a sharpened focus on broker experience, curated fleet quality and crew performance. Across four days of yacht inspections, onboard presentations, seminars and social events, MYBA will once again gather key charter professionals on the Ligurian coast for what has become one of the most closely watched fixtures in the spring calendar.

Now in its 36th edition, the MYBA Charter Show is firmly established as an industry-only showcase for the West Mediterranean charter season, drawing leading brokers, central agents, yacht managers and crew to Portosole’s deep-water berths each year. The 2026 show builds on the momentum of last year’s record-breaking Sanremo outing with a slightly more refined format, designed to make it easier for professionals to assess the fleet, meet the teams on board and plan the season’s most compelling itineraries.

Portosole itself plays a central role in the appeal. One of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean, it combines more than 800 berths with the capacity to welcome superyachts up to around 90 metres, offering an elegant backdrop for dockside networking and yacht showcases along the Italian Riviera. A three‑year agreement between MYBA and Portosole means the show is now confirmed to remain in Sanremo until at least 2028.

On the water, the 2026 fleet is expected to mirror MYBA’s reputation for quality over sheer numbers, with more than 50 charter yachts typically attending and early previews highlighting a mix of contemporary explorers, classic-inspired cruisers and family-friendly Mediterranean favourites.

MYBA continues to spotlight the human side of the charter experience with a packed programme for crew. The All Hands On Deck Competition returns for 2026, designed to showcase service standards and teamwork across interior and deck, while the Superyacht Chefs’ Competition adopts a new theme inspired by Sanremo’s City of Flowers identity, challenging culinary teams to interpret the Riviera’s colours and aromas on the plate.

If 2025 was the year MYBA made its big Sanremo statement, with one of the largest attending fleets in over a decade and a resurgent atmosphere on the docks, 2026 feels more considered in its execution. Enhanced amenities, from dedicated work and relaxation spaces to a hospitality lounge, expanded seminar facilities and shuttle connections between the docks and entrances, suggest an event carefully tuned to the way brokers actually work across the four days.

"Sanremo is the birthplace of the MYBA Charter Show (initially called the International Yacht Charter Meeting) and the perfect location to celebrate the 35th event in its history. We have come full circle and we are delighted!"
