Yachts That Redefine Form: Concept Dreams

By Nora Hart

This isn’t your typical white-hulled luxury, it’s a full-sensory experience. A new fleet of concept yachts is tearing up tradition, embracing biomimicry, glass hulls, and boundaryless design. These vessels don’t just float, they breathe innovation.

Oceanco’s LILY leads the charge. Inspired by the delicate form of a water lily, this 101-metre masterpiece is an incredible rethink from Vripack’s design studio. Gone are the side walkways and layered superstructures, in their place, a seamless silhouette of curved glass and petal-like overhangs. Guests move between split-level decks and glass mezzanines, pausing in a wellness sanctuary or crossing a suspension bridge to a children’s area. The owner’s private lily pond sundeck and floating firepit crown the yacht with cinematic flair. Underneath the poetry lies engineering genius, powered by Oceanco and Lateral’s hybrid Dynafin propulsion and fuel cell technology.

Vripack’s PROJECT SUPERNOVA is built for a different kind of dreamer, an owner who explores. At 60 metres, this explorer yacht carries a submersible, twin 12-metre gear containers, and a beach club that flows directly to the upper decks without a single traditional door. A transparent crew passage allows uninterrupted ocean views, while a dark interior palette nods to classic Americana with a contemporary twist. It’s both a sanctuary and a launchpad for serious adventure.

Across the board, the themes are clear: nature over symmetry, glass over steel, and sustainability over status quo. Hybrid propulsion, hydrogen integration, and a seamless connection to the water define these next-gen concepts. They’re not about owning a yacht, they’re about owning a vision.
