You Can Put WHAT on a Superyacht?
What fits in a superyacht garage? Quite a lot, as it turns out. A superyacht has plenty of room for the essentials, and apparently, plenty more for the things that make being at sea a lot more fun. From tenders and helicopters to impressive collections of watersports toys, these yachts have found plenty of room for adventure.
HODOR – Incat Crowther ShadowCat
Nine jet skis + four quad bikes + four motorbikes + a submarine
HODOR takes the idea of a toy box to another level. The 66-metre support vessel carries nine jet skis, four quad bikes, four trail motorcycles, Laser dinghies and a Hobie Cat. There is also a dedicated submarine garage, dive centre and decompression chamber, making this one serious collection of equipment.
PELORUS – Lürssen
Two helicopter pads + diving centre + recompression chamber
At 115 metres, PELORUS has room for plenty of adventure. Alongside two helicopter pads, the Lürssen yacht has a dedicated diving centre equipped for both conventional and rebreather diving, as well as a portable recompression chamber. It's a remarkably comprehensive setup for exploring beneath the surface.
KISMET – Lürssen
Four tenders + e-foils + Flitescooters + inflatable slide
KISMET's four tenders include a limousine tender and Riva, while her watersports collection includes Waverunners, jet skis, Seabobs, e-foils, Flitescooters, an Aquaglide floating deck and dive equipment. There is even an inflatable slide, turning an anchorage into a private playground.
LA DATCHA – Damen
Two helicopters + submarine + snowmobiles
LA DATCHA takes exploration beyond the water. The 77-metre SeaXplorer can accommodate two helicopters and carries a three-person Triton submersible, alongside snowmobiles, WaveRunners, SeaBobs and extensive dive equipment. It's designed for adventure in destinations ranging from tropical waters to the Arctic.
NIRVANA – Oceanco
Two tenders + ski boat + six jet skis + four WaveRunners
NIRVANA's garage is practically a fleet. The 88.5-metre Oceanco carries two 11-metre tenders, an 8.5-metre ski boat, six jet skis and four WaveRunners, with four hydraulic cranes handling the launching and recovery. There is also dedicated diving equipment and a wetsuit drying cabinet.
IJE – Benetti
A nightclub with its own virtual aquarium
And then there is IJE. The Benetti's nightclub features five faux portholes displaying a virtual aquarium, creating the impression of looking beneath the surface. The content was custom-created around the owner's preferred marine life, bringing an underwater world into the heart of the yacht.
From submarines and snowmobiles to a nightclub aquarium, these yachts show just how far the idea of a superyacht can be taken. When you have the space, the only real limit is the imagination.
