A New Chapter for Superyachts in the Maldives
Atoll Estates’ Zamani Islands development in the Maldives is progressing toward its first phase launch, set to introduce the country’s first dedicated superyacht marina alongside a groundbreaking sustainable luxury destination.
The superyacht market continues its strong global expansion, with the Maldives increasingly benefiting from this growth. The number of visiting superyachts to the archipelago has risen steadily in recent years, highlighting strong demand for high-end yachting experiences in the region.
In response, Atoll Estates is developing Zamani Islands, a landmark lifestyle destination in the South Malé Atoll. Set to feature the Maldives’ first dedicated superyacht marina and yacht club, the project aims to redefine luxury hospitality with a strong focus on sustainability. Guided by the principles of ‘Planet and People’, Zamani Islands aspires to become the country’s first 100% renewable energy resort.
Spanning eight islands, the development will include three distinct resorts designed in collaboration with renowned master planner Killa Design. The superyacht marina will cover 60,000 sqm and offer comprehensive docking services, crew facilities, provisioning, maintenance, and an exclusive yacht club.
Comprising 99% sea and just 1% land, the Maldives remains one of the world’s most spectacular cruising grounds, blessed with crystal-clear turquoise waters, year-round sunshine, pristine beaches, and world-class diving sites teeming with vibrant marine life.
Environmental responsibility is at the heart of the project. Atoll Estates has implemented careful construction practices, including an active coral relocation programme during development and an ongoing coral propagation initiative. The project will dedicate 70 hectares to coral restoration efforts.
The residences are designed to maximise ocean views, featuring spacious entertaining areas, luxurious bedroom suites, multiple private pools, private cinemas, spas, wellness areas, and fitness facilities. Each villa comes with dedicated butler service for an elevated level of personalised luxury.
Importantly, every residence includes a private berth in the superyacht marina, providing owners with full access to world-class marine facilities.
