ZeRo: Sam Sorgiovanni’s 96m Hydrogen Superyacht Concept

By George Bains

One of the most exciting announcements at the Monaco Yacht Show 2021 came in the form of a stunningly futuristic hydrogen-powered superyacht concept by Australian designer Sam Sorgiovanni.

96m ZeRo is a superyacht which embraces the future not only in its sustainable propulsion system, but also in its breath-taking aesthetic. The sleek and elegant exterior profile features a restrained superstructure which allows for plenty of exterior space for guests to enjoy time under the sun, including an expansive beach club with pool.

Catering to the evolving requirements of modern owners, the forward-thinking propulsion system eliminates carbon emissions without sacrificing any aspect of performance for long-range cruising. Typical of a Sorgiovanni design, ZeRo offers exquisitely crafted open guest spaces and an elegant profile which would be sure to draw plenty of admiration wherever she may venture.

Sorgiovanni, known for his work on Top100 superyachts such as Nirvana, Barbara and White Rabbit, has recently treated us to other exciting superyacht concepts, including the 99m explorer yacht Frontier and a 105m trimaran developed for Echo Yachts.
