Notes From The Editor

Week Ending 20/05/2011

It’s the end of the Cannes Film Festival for, and as much as I would have loved to stay in the Cote d’Azur and continue covering some of some of the largest yachts in the world, the world of superyachts waits for no man.

We’ve had an amazing week and I for one have returned to the office in high spirits after seeing some of the finest examples of modern marine engineering up close and personal in such a beautiful area of the world. partnered with Stefan Johansson and Mohamed Shawesh to host an amazingly successful event on board SnowbirD, alongside having the honour to help produce an event with Calvin Klein on board Vantage for some of the brands leading representatives.

However; whilst I’ve been covering the luxury yachting atmosphere in the South of France to my best extent, the superyacht industry has been busy making itself known the world elsewhere.

The first ever superyacht display in Harrods took place this week; offering the luxury yachting lifestyle to some of London’s elite in the most influential store in the world.

Northrop & Johnson have completely rebranded their brokerage house’s image by introducing a new logo, colour scheme and unveiling a brand-new website to the superyacht community.

Superyachts are everywhere, and with the Monaco Grand Prix taking place next week, the superyacht lifestyle will be well and truly in the view of the people who matter to this industry; the potential charter clients and owners.
