  • JD Ducanes
    American
    Captain
    JD obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from Florida Atlantic University. While finishing university he became a dive instructor and went on to become a licensed Captain on a dive charter vessel in Boca Raton, FL. His natural progression into yachts began in the Caribbean in 1989. In the early 1990’s JD became the project manager, Captain and Engineer for a 105ft motor yacht built at Broward Marine. He remained as Captain aboard her over the following four years traveling to Alaska and back through the Caribbean. Currently, JD is embarking upon his fourth new build project, with the construction of a 198ft Trinity. Since his entrance to yachting, JD has traveled extensively covering the Caribbean, Bahamas, East and West Coast of the US, Central America, British Columbia, Alaska and the Mediterranean. JD is also the pilot of the submersible “Nemo”. With over 20 years of experience he is always excited to share his passion for the sea and warmly welcomes you aboard “Mine Games”.

    John’s love of the water has given him the opportunity to travel the world, from Bahamas, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Baltic, Irish seas and many Trans Atlantic crossings. He is a qualified MCA Chief Mate of a vessel less than 3000T. John has been in yachting for over 6 years and for 5 years before that in Australia on the Great Barrier Reef and the Gold Coast. He has trained in martial arts for over 13 years and holds the rank of 4 degree Black Belt. John’s hobbies are surfing, SCUBA diving, and Snow Boarding.

    Phillip hails from Cape Town, South Africa. After school he served two years in the navy as part of his then compulsory National Service before he went on to qualify himself as a Motor Mechanic. He spent the next six years at University where he obtained a degree in forestry. Due to the political climate in South Africa in 1998, he left the country and subsequently became involved in the yachting industry where he has been working since. His dream is to go sailing around the world on his own yacht.

    Daniel Driol joins M/Y Mine Games from Vancouver, BC where he began his study of culinary arts at the age of 18. He moved to Banff in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, where he was richly influenced by the Swiss chef/owner of the Pines restaurant. He then moved to Europe after working in the world-renowned 14-point restaurant, Au Premier in Luzern Switzerland. Moving to Berlin, Germany he continued his culinary advancement at the Five Star Hotel Kempinski . Finally after returning home to Vancouver he completed a four-year apprenticeship at the Four Diamond Hotel Metropolitan. Daniel has placed first overall in many culinary competitions including Apprentice of the Year Vancouver and Art Institute rising star. Chef Daniel is an avid snowboarder and of course enjoys fine dining!

    Erin has joined Mine Games from beautiful Vancouver, Canada. Her extensive background in the hospitality industry has given her the privilege of working and living in world renowned resorts including Whistler, BC and the Cayman Islands. Active all of her life Erin enjoys many activities including snowboarding, down hill mountain biking, snowmobiling and is a certified scuba diver, lifeguard and swim instructor. Her love of the water and adventure of travel is what lead her to the yachting industry. Erin is perfectly prepared to anticipate your every need and deliver it in style.
  • Chris Jordan

    The ocean has always been a major part of Chris’ life, while growing up as a surf lifesaver on Australia’s South East Coast he competed in iron man events shortly thereafter moving to the north east of Australia to the Great Barrier Reef. Pursuing a life at sea in the maritime industry Chris has worked on many vessels ranging from commercial boats to operating small charter vessels around the Whitsunday islands and has even raced on the professional sailing circuit in Australia. Chris believes that if you can make a living doing what you enjoy you’ll never work a day in your life! He has now made the natural progression towards yachting and thoroughly enjoys the exciting travel opportunities as well as experiencing new cultures.
  • Debora Passow

    Debora was born and raised in the town of Curitiba in southern Brazil. After school she started studying marketing at University but that goal was interrupted in 2002 when she sailed away on a planned circumnavigation of the world with her parents and two brothers in their 46-foot sailing boat. It was an opportunity for her to see new countries and discover other cultures. She was introduced to the yachting scene in 2004 while in St Marteen and immediately fell in love with the lifestyle. Debora also currently holds a 200-ton Captain’s license.
  • Marlo Dadd

    Marlo grew up on the most easterly point of Australia in a small surf town called Byron Bay in New South Wales. His love for the ocean started at a young age when he discovered surfing, fishing, snorkeling, and wakeboarding all of which developed into a passion for boating and the yachting industry in particular. Marlo finished school in 2005 and decided to travel the world and explore the many different cultures and experiences it has to offer. This eventually introduced him to the yachting industry in France where he was working with contracting companies refurbishing yachts. Marlo soon gained a passion for this lifestyle and the exciting opportunity presented itself to join the Mine Games team in 2008 to further pursue his career.
  • Jasmine Jackson

    Jasmine is from Richmond, BC and has been a part of the yachting industry for two years. She is highly qualified, professional makeup artist and has applied her talent in fashion, photography, music videos, movies and weddings. Jasmine is always ready with a smile as she does her duties thoroughly and with finesse.
