Custom Line Launches the 16th Navetta 30

By Frances Flannagan

On February the 15th, the 16th unit of Custom Line’s Navetta 30 officially hit the water in Ancona, christened M/Y GINDUNGO. She is timeless and bespoke, representing the pinnacle of this hugely successful line.

Named after the Angolan chilli pepper, GINDUNGO reflects the vibrancy and energy of her namesake, as she entered the water for the first time in February. She has a LOA of 28.43m, characterised by comfort, safety and seaworthiness.

GINDUNGO is the product of a collaboration between the Product Strategy Department for her exterior styling, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department and ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel for interior architecture, and Filippo Salvetti overseeing her exteriors.

She stands out for her timeless aesthetics, generous volumes and elegant and sophisticated styling, with her exteriors featuring an extended sweep of horizontal lines towards the bow. The result is a sleek and dynamic silhouette that benefits GINDUNGO’s aesthetics as well as her performance, as this profile lends itself to reduced fuel consumption.

She has a four deck layout, with onboard spaces optimised for moments of sociability and relaxation. Large glazed surfaces offer her Owner and guests panoramic views in all directions, the connection to water being a key theme throughout her design.

Due to the continuity of the interior and exterior surfaces, GINDUNGO has a flowing, linear balance, which maximises the spaces onboard with regards to their functionality.

Her interior design beautifully blends classic elements with a contemporary aesthetic, boasting an array of intricate features such as carbon detailing and custom claddings with exclusive textures and lacquering.

The Owner’s desires were met in the furnishings and decor, which perfectly reflect their style and personality. The overall atmosphere onboard GINDUNGO is ‘sporty chic’, with a range of fine and natural materials implemented throughout, such as nubuck leather, Sahara Noir marble and silver grey beola stone.

The shipyard commented: ‘The skilful use of colour plays a key role in the yacht’s aesthetics, giving the boat a fresh and inviting look. The pairings of pale, neutral shades, including beige, ecru and white, blend harmoniously with darker and more distinctive nuances such as tobacco, burnt brown, chocolate and rust, creating original contrasts with the different shades of green featured in several cabins and the freestanding furniture.’

GINDUNGO represents the timelessness and made-to-measure elegance of the Navetta 30 model, which continues to be a huge success. Custom Line’s commitment to providing Owners with quality service is highlighted in the bespoke nature of this build, one which incorporates the Owner’s personal preference whilst retaining the elements characteristic of the line.
