BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 Delivered by Damen Yachting

By Frances Flannagan

Damen Yachting has announced that YS 53 BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 has been delivered: the first of the design series. A number of significant enhancements have been implemented in her design to fully reflect her Owner’s desires, including a custom jacuzzi and a helicopter hangar.

Built for sports fisherman Anthony Hsieh, BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 has been specifically tailored to suit her experienced Owner’s preferences, in both her aesthetics and her performance. She will act as fast support to the fleet, whilst also operating as a main hub for Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean based activities.

Salih Saim Kaya, Project Manager at Damen Yachting, commented: ‘As the Project Manager for BAD COMPANY 175, I am honoured to have been part of the build of this remarkable vessel – the first in the series.’

She can accommodate up to eight guests alongside 10 crew members plus the Captain, with all aspects of design overseen in-house by Damen Yachting.

BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 will not only provide long and short term living and accommodation facilities for her Owner and his specialist crew, but will also serve as a technical and functional base for equipment and dedicated programmes.

Neil Emmot acted as the Owner’s representative, who engaged in open and transparent communication with the Dutch yard throughout the yacht’s build process, ensuring that the Owner’s specific requirements were met and ensuring a harmonious collaboration.

Neil Emmot commented: ‘In pursuit of a lifelong dream, the Owner's involvement has been crucial in shaping the project, with enhancements based on his personal and very specific requests, such as accommodating a game boat, including a helicopter hangar, adding a custom jacuzzi, transforming the main deck lounge into a dedicated strategy meeting room, and integrating a Starlink antenna for improved connectivity.’

BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 is set to embark on an ambitious deep-sea fishing and conservation programme as part of her Owner’s BAD COMPANY fleet.
