146m OPERA Delivered by Lurssen

The 146-metre Lurssen superyacht OPERA has been delivered to her owners. Launched in September last year from the German shipyard’s Bremen-based outfitting facilities, the 146m completed her maiden voyage to Portsmouth, in the United Kingdom, where she is currently residing.

Featuring incredible exterior lines from the drawing board of esteemed yacht designer Terence Disdale, OPERA is yet another magnificent superyacht to be completed by German shipyard Lurssen.

A true showcase of its ability to build the largest superyachts in the world, the launch of OPERA came only seven months after Lurssen launched the largest superyacht of the year and its second-largest build, 160m BLUE in February 2022.

Now, OPERA’s delivery comes at a busy time for Lurssen, who launched the 145m Project Luminance and the 90m Project 1601 last month, with other launches also anticipated soon.

Despite showcasing a strong white profile, seven expansive decks, twin helipads, and two open-air swimming pools, many of the details and specifications of OPERA remain tightly under wraps, although she is believed to have a beam of 20 metres and an interior volume of over 10,000 gross tonnes. Her highly secretive interior design has been confirmed as also being designed by Terence Disdale.

OPERA has now become the sixth-largest superyacht within Lurssen’s fleet. At 146m, she surpasses 145m Project Luminance, a recently-launched and staggering Lurssen new build that is expected to be delivered this year, by only one metre.

Now delivered to her owners in the UK, OPERA has made a formidable entry into the world's Top 100 largest yachts, taking an impressive place as the tenth-largest superyacht in the world.
