Damen Yachting Begins Construction of SeaXplorer 60

Following in the footsteps of the successful Amels Limited Editions, Damen is offering reliable, customisable luxury explorers with the shortest delivery time by starting the SeaXplorer build up front.

A unique crossover of Amels pedigree and Damen’s shipbuilding knowledge, the SeaXplorer design features large luxury interiors and excellent expedition capabilities. She truly is a yacht for all seasons as the possibilities for customisation are boundless; from tropical to polar and all oceans in between. 

As the latest in the SeaXplorer range, the SeaXplorer 60 follows a long line of pedigree superyachts with the utmost explorer capabilities. The award-winning exterior design was based on Damen’s previous SeaXplorer deliveries, and was created by Azure Yacht Design. 

The spacious interiors were designed by Jonny Horsfield of H2 Design in London. The custom concept features accommodation for twelve guests in 6 suites and evokes a connection to the ocean throughout the vessel. The rich colour palette and use of warm wood, ebb and flow through the yacht to create a soothing interior atmosphere.

In partnership with EYOS Expeditions, Damen Yachting has utilised its expedition experience from the field to engineer the SeaXplorer 60 to be a reliable, safe explorer with proven performance and value. With her hybrid power and propulsion battery banks, certified helideck, Ice Class, IMO Polar Code compliant engineering, and her plentiful stores and tanks means that the SeaXplorer 60 allows for up to 30 days of exploratory operations without port call.

The SeaXplorer 60 is the latest new build from the SeaXplorer range of luxury expedition yachts. The first SeaXplorer, 62-metre ANAWA, was followed by 77-metre LA DATCHA in 2020 and by the custom 58-metre SeaXplorer in build for delivery to her Owner in 2022.
